I often saw my friends going to this place for breakfast and from their photos on their Facebook pages, it looked like what they had was somewhat nice so I decided that I would hop over and give it a try.
I vaguely remembered a coffee shop there right next to the dianpianngu shop…

…but when I got there, it did not look quite like it. There was an old couple selling kampua mee and that was about all they had. I remember the name was 88 or something like that, not 118 and that one…

…is in another block to the right of those shops.
I went and ordered what I wanted from the young lady at the stall at the latter and they included this bowl of kolo mee (RM5.50)…

Yes, it was nice but the colour…

…was a bit too red for comfort. I should have told her that I wanted it white and requested that she left out the char siew oil.
I also wanted the pork belly soup (RM6.50)…

…which was so-s0, not bad after I had added some vinegar and a generous sprinkling of pepper…

I guess I am more used to pig’s intestines and gu tor (beef tripe) and usually, when I had these elsewhere, they would give some very nice sambal/chili dip to eat everything with, not just bottled chili sauce.
For one thing, the sinking swampy land problem is very serious in those parts and I was rather worried that I might lose my balance and topple over as I made my way precariously up the makeshift steps to get up onto the pavement. That alone will make me think twice about going there again.
