She knows now…

My missus used to send her car to a mechanic in this part of town for servicing and repairs but I don’t think she ever went and looked around the place. I bet she did not even know there is a hawker centre and a market there (but the latter is almost non-existent as there is just one stall selling vegetables and what not).

I’ve been here a few times myself and yes, on the whole, I do enjoy what I had even though I am not that fond of the crowd here. There are always so many people around and parking is a pain even if you are willing to park quite a distance away.

Well, that morning, I wanted to take my missus there to let her see and experience the place and after going round three or four times, I managed to grab one vacant place right in front. How nice!!!

I saw Nancy’s post(s) on the wanton soup that she had and all this while, I had been waiting for the chance to go for it myself. Somehow or other, I never got round to doing that until that morning. I quickly placed an order for a bowl…

…from Stall No. 9 to buang gian (appease the carving).

Thankfully, it was very nice…

…and both my wife and I enjoyed it.

I also asked for their kampua mee…

…which my missus also liked – very original/authentic kampua like the ones in the good ol’ days, she said.

Of course we did not finish the whole lot. In fact, both of us just had a bit…

…and had the rest packed for us to take home. I did not ask how much each of them cost but the total for the two came up to RM7.50, probably RM4.00 for one and RM3.50 for the other.

And if you’re wondering, the reason why we did not finish the kampua mee was because I also ordered their Foochow fried noodles, the moon version (RM5.00 a plate)…

…one of each one of us.

Unfortunately, I was of the opinion that it was nicer all those times when I came here myself and ordered that…

…including that time when I asked for the special…

Maybe the extra ingredients added brought the taste to a whole new level – it was so good then!

…but no, she did not think it was anything to shout about.

On the whole, we had a delightful outing and the brunch was good enough but we may think twice about coming here again if it is going to be that difficult all the time to find a place close by to park the car.
