You’ll like it too…

The steamed barramundi (ikan siakap) that we had that day was so very very good that I decided to ask my sister to come over to our house so she too could give it a try – I was so very sure that she would like it too!

My missus took another one from the four that I bought and steamed it…

…and we had that for lunch.

Yes, she loved it but it was way too big to give her one to steam and eat on her own. I don’t think she would be able to finish it in a day, lunch and dinner and one thing about steamed fish…

…is it will not be so nice if you keep it to eat the next day.

We did not cook much else to eat with the fish and the rice but my missus made this salad…

…for the vegetable dish.

I went out and bought the awesome fish soup…

…from here.

Can you recognise it? I bought it earlier that morning and heated it up before serving so it did not look quite the same and it did not taste as nice as having it fresh at the food court/coffee shop. Still, everybody was full of praises – they all loved it and my girl loved the meat balls. Of course, I did not eat those since I am on a no red meat diet and she was delighted that I passed all of mine to her.

My sister enjoyed it too – she thought RM6.00 for a bowl of that (50 sen extra for your choice of noodles added) was a steal. I am pretty sure she will make her way there one of these days just for this!!!

There you have it! Our simple lunch that day just so my sister would be able to try the very nice barramundi (ikan siakap) and like it too, just like all of us!
