Pizza…

We loved the pizzas at our favourite Italian restaurant here – we particularly loved their spinach egg – the Bracio di Ferro

…but sadly, it did not survive the pandemic.

My guess is the owners would like to focus all their attention on their massively popular sister restaurant but I am not really into it as it is more a fusion kind of place and it is always so very crowded – I would say that physical distancing is virtually impossible there.

We did have their Pizza Prosciutto e Funghi

…there sometime ago and it was good. That was why when we were thinking of having pizza once, mid-2020, I did drop by to buy their pepperoni, takeaway.

We enjoyed the pizza that we had here and those at some other places as well and of course, at that franchise pizza restaurant that my girl quite enjoys (personally, I am more into thin crust) and elsewhere but these days, we do not seem to find the mere idea of going out and driving all the way to some place safe, not too crowded, that is, for no apparent reason, other than to eat their pizzas, all that appealing. Maybe we’ve got used to #stayingsafe #stayingwell #stayinghome for so long that we just do not feel like going out anymore.

We did have pizza the other day though – my girl decided that she would make her own so for lunch, we had her spinach paste, cherry tomatoes (from our garden) and mozzarella cheese pizza…

…which turned out really well. We all enjoyed it and we had these air fryer-cooked onion rings…

…to go with it.

However, being more of a meat person, I suggested having one with bacon for dinner that evening. That was why she came out with this smoked bacon with (canned) mushrooms (we can’t get fresh buttons here), a bit of tomato bolognese sauce and lots of mozzarella cheese pizza…

…plus what was left over of the spinach paste she prepared that morning. Of course I liked this one more but my girl was not into the bacon so much even though she enjoys pepperoni so much – honestly, I can’t tell one from the other. LOL!!!

So, there you have it! That should be enough pizza for a while.
