Forgot…

Actually, I tried these grilled chicken sandwiches…

before in July last year but I forgot about it completely and when I saw them being sold at the shop in the next lane from my house, I thought that the slice of chicken in them…

…looked really good so I could not resist grabbing two to take home and try.

They still use the exact same label…

…and after one year, the price is still the same – RM3.90 each. I thought the company/brand name was kind of cute – Monkey.K.Toast and I have the feeling they are the same people behind the fish & egg chu nu miang burgers that I quite enjoy, also available at this shop…usually.

Looking at my old blogpost on these sandwiches, it seemed that I did not like the mashed egg in them – I was put off by how it came across to me as kind of sweet. Maybe they have had complaints regarding this so this time around, it was perfectly all right…just that I would not mind if they could be a bit more generous with it. I could hardly feel it was there!

I toasted the sandwich on a non-stick pan…

…and had it with a bit of chili sauce and mayo.

The chicken tasted great but I sure wouldn’t mind more lettuce or better still, a slice or two of tomato – that would certainly help enhance the taste and bring it to a whole new level but when it comes to sandwiches, I guess these awesome-looking sandwiches

…would belong to an entirely different class of its own but they were almost double the price, RM6.50 each and I have not been to those parts of the woods for a long while now so I am not sure if they are still available or not.
