Pretty…

My missus went out on Friday two weeks ago – she did not go out last week as we still had a lot of things in the house – and came back with these pretty bowls…

…that came free with this toothpaste…

…one when you buy a box with two tubes inside.

I love the pleasant colours of the yellow one…

…and also the green…

…and she also got the blue as well.

Unfortunately, she did not get the red one so we do not have the complete set at this point in time. I think the next time I go out, I shall stop by the shop to get that – I have this weakness for free gifts and I would like to have the complete sets. I love the set that I have of the Four Seasons plates that came free once with this toothpaste too.

Incidentally, I read somewhere sometime ago that with this pandemic that is going on and on like it is never going to end, we should have individual servings of soups unlike how we usually have it, Asian/Chinese style, in a big bowl and everybody will help themselves to it. These bowls are perfect for this, just the right size – not too much of the soup and no need for any refill. Of course, we must have separate serving spoons for each dish too. As a matter of fact, this is one good practice, very hygienic, that should be practised regardless whether or not there is a pandemic.

  1. I have been looking for bowls lately too, and I think what you have is the right size I am looking for.

We do have bowls but sometimes, a serving mix of salad, quinioa, and fruits wouldn’t fit in our bowls.

…and I agree with you, get the other 2 colors to complete your set, and plus 2 more tubes of toothpaste. 😀

    1. Yes. this size is just right, enough for one, no need for refill. We have three now – only need to get the red one now to complete the set.

  2. Yes, they are pretty bowls and just the right size to serve soup individually. I have the blues one only. Next, I guess I will get the apple green one. I think it is a good idea to have a serving spoon for each dish too and I have done that long time ago.

  3. Very pretty bowls and I like their soft colours. I would be tempted to collect the four colours too. Some of the bowls and plates in my house are free gifts. We have been using individual serving bowls for soup and common spoon or fork for the dishes for many years now. We do it at home as well as when we dine out with friends.

    1. I would say all our crockery came as free gifts but we usually do not bother to collect the complete sets. That is why when we host dinners, at home unless we take out those special dinner sets on display in the cabinet, you will see a collection of all sorts of plate and bowls, different designs. Never mind! I guess what is served in those plates and bowls is more important. LOL!!!

We only served soup in separate bowls and had serving spoons for each dish on special occasions or when we had guests…like when eating out at the restaurants. Otherwise, we never bothered but no choice now – at a time like this, we need such good practice for our own good.

  4. Oh! I love those bowls, so pretty, especially the green one! How come I don’t see that promotion over here and I use that brand of toothpaste. LOL!

    1. Yes, with the guy from the Black & White Minstrel Show as the logo but then, it was deemed as being racist, the reference to the colour black so that had to be changed. So shallow the minds of those people.
