The ladies in the house are so into this line of made-in-Vietnam Korean noodles. It is a Korean company but based in Vietnam, probably taking advantage of the cheaper labour there.
There might have been others before but I did not get to try any and I can’t remember them either. Well, anyway, the other day, I got to try this one…
– their spicy Korean beef noodles.
Since my girl said that I might as well give this one…
…a skip – she said I would not enjoy it since I did not really fancy the black bean paste in the one from the celebrated Sibu instant kampua people, I decided to take her word for it.
That was why I moved on to the next one that we also have in the house at this point in time, the Korean beef noodles…
This packet is smaller, about half the size of the other one so it looks more manageable. Inside, there are two sachets…
…one with the seasoning and the other with the dehydrated vegetables, mostly carrot, Chinese celery and spring onion.
I cooked the noodles using the water that I had used to boil a few slices of beef and before dishing everything out, I added an egg to it…
…and served it, generously garnished with the chopped spring onions from my garden.
Yes, it was nice – a little bit spicy and a little bit too salty for me. Perhaps I should have used two-thirds of the sachet of seasoning, not all of it or I could have added a bit more water so I could have more soup. However, when it comes to this brand in particular, my favourite is still the one with the clams flavour and as far as Vietnamese beef pho goes, this one definitely takes the cake!
