I said I would go back to give hers (RM6.00)…
…a try, that time when I stopped by for her fried kway teow. In the meantime, I went back there but I had the Sarawak laksa and the nasi lemak from the stall next to it instead.
Well, that day, I needed a new photograph of our Foochow longevity noodles for my birthday post so I decided I would go there…
…to see if hers would be photogenic enough or not.
I was delighted because there was nobody sitting on this side because of the morning sun. There were some customers on the other side, not many but there were a few. Well, it was mid-morning and it wasn’t that hot already so I decided to sit there.
My order came soon enough…
I tasted it and it sure swept me off my feet! There was this very strong taste of good quality traditional Foochow red wine and she certainly was very generous with the ginger – I absolutely enjoyed it, my new favourite, I must say and I sure would be making my way there again for more.
HAPPY HOURS CAFE (2.307165, 111.837312) is located at one corner of the Rejang Park shops/commercial centre in that residential area, beside the volleyball stadium and the surau, facing the vast parking area there.
Wow you lavished this with such praise must be darn good. In fact it looks really good from the photo. 🙂 Huge portion.
Yes. Just right, not really huge! Good till the last drop!
Wow, looks really nice from the photo. Won’t be surprised to see you drop by again for more. Great to have it during this cold and wet weather. Kuching has been raining cats and dogs since yesterday morning and is still on going today.
Been raining quite a lot here too, mostly afternoon and thankfully, we do have some good days…or half of it, at least. So gloomy if raining the whole day, especially when on and off. So irritating!
Poor me, still yet to have an opportunity to try dishes cooked with Foochow red wine.
Too bad, can’t come over now. All these years you could but did not. Now, 14-day quarantine plus tests. I hear RM2400 for non-Sarawakians. Sarawakian, the state government will pay.
Oh mine! I would love this, yums! One whole hard boiled egg, slurps!
Very nice.
Slurp!! Sure looked goof. I would enjoy it too.
Your hunting ground when you were in Sibu, near where your SIL’s shop was.
Good. Hehe
Gotcha! Yes, sure was very very good!
My kinda mee suah, so hard to find here in Klang Valley
Didn’t like the one I had, once at Jalan Alor and never again…with the very sweet Chinese wine that got me quite drunk after eating and I could not finish all of it even. LOL!!!
Well, if it swept you off your feet, I would sure love to give it a try.
Yes, it was really good. Too many wannabes all over town – I wouldn’t bother with those.
