Leave it to me…

These days, since we no longer have to drive all the way to my girl’s jungle school on Sundays, we make it a point to go some place nice for lunch like this one here that we went to a week earlier, for instance.

Last Sunday, my girl said that she would like the butter chicken curry here, probably with naan but the mum wanted something with that (RM4.50) and in the end, she settled for the biryani rice (RM18.00)…

…while the mum had one of the new additions to the menu, their cheesy tandoori chicken drumsticks (RM13.00)…

I did try one because she could only manage one – my girl had the other drumstick and at best, I thought it…

…was all right – personally, I would go for the tandoori chicken without the cheese and enjoy the delightful taste of the special marinades and the lovely fragrance of the cooking in the traditional oven without all those being drowned out by the cheese. Others may not agree with me, of course, like how I am not all that crazy about their cheese naan but it does seem rather popular among their other customers.

My girl could not finish all the chicken and like the mum, she left it to me so I had to finish off two pieces of chicken along with the fish curry and basmati rice (RM18.00)…

…that I had ordered for myself.

I loved how the chef stuffed the side of the fish with a small piece…

…obviously from the tail part and yes, I thought that was good, a lovely change from the regular Malay fish curry or asam fish.

The ladies agreed that since they couldn’t seem to finish everything everytime, the next time around, they will order one item only and share. I would not get my hopes up too high though as I am pretty sure they will not be able to agree on something to their mutual liking and end up ordering their own picks…and when they can’t finish, they will just…leave it all to me! Sighhh!!! LOL!!!
