Like it’s her birthday…

Well, it most certainly WAS her birthday, my sister’s, on the 13th of January and she took us all out for dinner here…

MJ Hu Seafood Restoran

I had never been here before but I had seen a foodie friend’s Instagram posts on Facebook so of course, I was keen on going to give it a try.

The curry fish (RM60.00)…

…was very good, very spicy and the lovely gravy went absolutely well with rice. I did not think much of the fish though – I think it was a red snapper.

The butter prawns (RM40.00)…

…were very nicely done too and the crustaceans were very firm, very fresh but this is one dish that one can get at most any other place and some can do it just as well and it was the same with the tofu dish…

…that we also had that night.

The Thai-style midin

…on the other hand, was in a class of its own and the strips of mango in it sure were an added bonus. Everyone loved it to bits!

However, the star of the evening had got to be their specialty, the pig’s tail (RM25.00)…

Pig's tail

I never had that before and I could not believe how nice that was – I loved it so much and I sure would want to go back here again for more.  We were joking about it that night – how a pig only had one tail and a very short one at that and how many pig’s tails would be needed to cook one dish. That was hilarious!

It was a lovely dinner, indeed – I certainly would want to go back there again to see what other nice dishes they have on their menu. Thanks so much to my sis for the treat and a very Happy Birthday once again – God bless always and may all your dreams come true. Cheers!!!
