Not satisfied…

My girl went out with some friends/colleagues for a nasi biryani lunch not too long ago. While all the rest were quite happy with what they had, she was not all that satisfied and when we went out to eat that day, she said that she wanted the butter chicken biryani (RM20.00)…

here to make up for the disappointment. She loves what the authentic North Indian chef dishes out here a lot more than any elsewhere around town and will not settle for anything less.

The mum had the fried bihun (RM13.50)…

…from the Indonesian menu that day but she could not finish as she said that the serving was rather big. I had to help her with it and I thought it was nice – there were prawns and sotong (squid) and everything in it.

I ordered the aloo ghobi curry (RM12.00)…

…with cauliflower and potatoes which was a bit on the spicy side but I sure enjoyed it.

I wanted that because I also asked for the tandoori aloo naan (RM12.00)…

…and I wanted the gravy to eat with it as a dip. It did not occur to me at the point in time but it turned out that I actually had a vegetarian lunch that day. That sure does not happen all that often.

The total that day came up to RM68.00, inclusive of drinks, and the nice boss just collected RM65.00 from me. Well, one thing’s for sure, we certainly will be back again…and again…and again.

  1. I love all the food in this post, would like to eat a bit from each dish. Aha! so you had a vegetarian meal without knowing it. See, you can do it.

Not intentional but I do not mind this kind of vegetarian. Perhaps we can have something like this on our no-meat Friday. Fish is getting too expensive, what more to say prawns!

    1. The fried bihun looks good and I think I will like it.

Ya, since you’re not into Indian, you can go for what’s on their Indonesian menu…just like my missus.

  2. Love the food here. All delicious.

Lol. Once a while vegetarian meal is fine with me. But I love meats. Haha

We only have one authentic Indian place here, unlike Kuching, and the menu is quite limited. Lots to choose from over at your side, even one owned by that lady in Masterchef. Me too, just once in a while. Without meat, I would feel hungry very fast.

  3. Indian vegetarian food is nice, maybe bcos got curry, anything with curry won’t go wrong.

I don’t think i have tried buter chicken briyani before.

Takes some time to cook as the chef will cook the tandoori chicken first and then use it and the marinades to cook the butter chicken. Very nice, lovely change from the usual curry, curry and more curry!

  4. not bad wor. Got RM3 discount. RM3 can eat a plate of kampua. Here if get 30 sen discount also can smile liao

I had a 20 sen discount at dinner last night, the girl just rounded it up. Not much but it’s the thought that counts.

  5. Wow.. so nice of the boss, got discount some more! When I saw the Naan, it reminded of the sweet one.. with raisins and all, I cannot remember its name…. I like to dip that with curry… sweet and savoury!

Sweet, raisins? Not sure if I know of anything like that.
