Close to you…

I saw some people…

At Bandong Walk
*The above photograph is blurred on purpose “to protect the innocent”. LOL!!!*

…buying the kuehs here and going over to the Bandong Walk hawker stalls close by to enjoy them with the very nice coffee/drinks from the stall there, just a few steps away. No, I did not do that even though I did buy quite a lot of stuff from there that morning.

I tried the mi goreng (fried mee/noodles) from this lady…

…there before and yes, I did enjoy it.

This time around, I decided to try her kway teow goreng (fried flat rice noodles)…

…and I did enjoy it as well. There was quite a lot of chicken in it but personally, for fried kway teow, for no particular reason, I would very much prefer shrimps and sotong (squid) and maybe, cockles even instead of meat.

That was RM4.00, the same as at most chu char places around town and considering that this is just a roadside stall, nothing fancy, I had expected it to be a bit cheaper. The sign says mee kampua RM3.00 and somebody told me that would be for the kosong (no meat), RM4.00 for the noodles with meat. Hmmm…I think I’d give it a miss, thank you very much.

This noodle stall is located at Bandong Walk, Jalan Bandong, beside the drinks stall to the immediate right of The NASI LEMAK BANDONG WALK stall (2.313869, 111.825808) somewhere in front of the block of shops where Mastura Delite and the what-was-formerly-known-as the 1Malaysia clinic are.
