We’re not going anywhere in this two-week school mid-semester break but that does not mean that we will let time pass us by just like that. Needless to say, this is a good chance for us to spend quality time together especially when we do not get to do that all that often during school days as my girl would be away in her school in the jungle.
We went to see a movie, my girl’s choice as she loves dogs and she likes that Henry guy who is actually a violinist/singer – it was very nice, lots of laughs and tears too and even though we saw the animated version during my girl’s growing up years, we also went to see this one which was light-hearted, very entertaining. We sure enjoyed both of them very much.
It was evening already after we came out from watching the latter as we chose to go for the late afternoon show, 4.30 p.m. so we decided to stop by some place for dinner before going home.

…here again so as always, whatever she wants, she gets.
I was quite sure we had their Guiness stout pork…
…before but we decided we would have a go at it again. Much to our delight, it was very nice – the sauce went so well with the rice but I was not all that fond of the melamine plate it was served in. Well, at least, it wasn’t the coloured or floral ones where the colour may come off eventually like those fake banana leaf plates.
We also had the sizzling tofu on a hot plate…
…and it was very good too.
The total for the food came up to RM33.00 only for the three of us and the people are very nice and obliging. We certainly will come back here for more, that’s for sure.
MY CHEF RESTAURANT (2.311365, 111.846638) is located along Jalan Pedada in the block of shops to the left of Delta Mall, the second one in that block if you are coming from that direction, with the Astro Sibu office at the other end of that same block.
