I’ve heard it said that the wat tan hor (fried kway teow/flat noodles with egg sauce/gravy) here…
*Archive photo*
…is very nice and I did try to drop by a couple of times but it seemed that the stall closed rather early, way before lunch time so I had not had the chance to give it a try.
Well, I did manage to catch them open the other day – they have now moved from their stall on the other side of the coffee shop, assuming they are the same people there, to this one…
…that I used to frequent sometime ago for the very nice ethnic nasi campur/mixed rice. For reasons unknown, those people are no longer doing it anymore – as a matter of fact, I don’t even know if they are still running the place selling the pansuh (cooked in bamboo) and all the barbecued stuff in the evening anymore these days.
The people selling the drinks also looked rather different from the ones before, as far as I could remember, but the kopi-o-peng (RM1.60)…
…that I had was all right, not the best in town but it was good enough.
As for the wat tan hor (RM5.00)…
…it certainly looked like they were right about it.
Yes, I would agree that it…
…was pretty good, probably not as nice as the one here but I must say that it came pretty close. Of course, the one at that other place is double the price but then again, the serving is more or less double/triple the size as well and I like how they have the fish slices and a few prawns alongside the Chinese cabbage and bitter gourd and what not in that one there.
