…among the blocks of shops in the Sg Antu vicinity opposite RTM, Sibu.
The moment she caught sight of me, she said that she had not seen me for a long time and true enough, the last time I was there was in August, 2016 and I was somewhat disappointed with the nasi lemak special that I had that day – she forgot the egg!
Well, I went back there the other day because I heard she has nasi campur (mixed rice)…
…round lunch time every day and I thought I would want to give it a try. Unfortunately, though it was already almost noon, she said that she had yet to start cooking the dishes so it was not available at that point in time.
In the end, I decided to just go for her nasi lemak special again (RM5.00)…
…and yes, I got the fried egg this time though it was a bit overdone and yes, the rice was far from satisfactory but like most of the rest, with the sambal and the daging masak hitam, I quite enjoyed it, I would say.
For the special, you get one fried chicken wing…
…without which, you would get all the rest, the biasa, for only RM4.00. I thought RM1.00 for a chicken wing was rather cheap – I am sure one will need to fork out at least RM1.50 or RM2.00 for that elsewhere.
My missus had the mee goreng (RM4.00)…
…but it did not get her all excited. She just said it was all right especially with the masak hitam.
FAST CAFE (2.319100, 111.832213) is located among the shops opposite the RTM station in Sibu in the Sungai Antu area. At the end of Jalan Kpg Nangka, just before its roundabout with Jalan Tun Abg Hj Openg, you turn left into Jalan Tapang Timur and go straight ahead – it is the first shop in the last block on the left.
