Trying to recall…

I guess there can be no denying that I am no spring chicken anymore and sometimes, I may have the tendency to be a little absent-minded.

I was here not too long ago and I did see something at this stall…

…that I thought I would like to try the next time I drop by but that day, no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t recall what it was until I saw the photograph again – their braised pork rice (RM5.00)…

Of course I wasted no time at all in ordering that and yes, it was very nice – very generous with the pork…

…and there was one whole hard-boiled egg by the side. I certainly would much sooner go for this than what I had here for a ringgit more and no egg.

My missus had their chap fan or mixed rice (RM3.80)…

…and she said she liked what she had as well.

This complimentary soup…

…came with both our orders but it was somewhat bland, nothing to get excited about.

I also ordered a piece of siew yoke/roast pork belly (RM8.00)…

…to share but my missus only had a bit as she was quite happy with what she was having and if I had known that they would be so generous with the meat in my braised pork rice, I wouldn’t have ordered this.
