Been waiting…

Ever since I was here…

…that morning for the kampua mee and liver soup, I had been waiting to get the chance to drop by the coffee shop again to get to eat what they dish out at this stall…

…there. It has been around for a long long time and I’ve heard fave reviews about the food and finally, last Friday, there were lots of parking spaces available (probably because it was a public holiday in Malaysia) so I grabbed the chance and had lunch there.

It looked like they had all their fish coated with batter and pre-deep fried…

…and I did ask what flour they used. The boy told me it was shu-fun, whatever that is – possibly mùshǔ fěn (木薯粉) or in English, tapioca flour, not miànfěn (麵粉/wheat flour) so I guess my girl would be able to eat that should we come here with her to eat. She was not with us that day as she was out with her friends.

I saw some people having their stewed pork…

…with the intestines and what not and it looked really good but it was a Friday so I did not order that. I guess it will have to wait till another day.

We had the bitter gourd omelette…

…which was so very good, nicer than elsewhere, I would say. I don’t know why but don’t we have the same chicken eggs at home? How come the omelette we cook is not as nice?

I asked for the sweet and sour fish (RM20.00)…

…an ikan bawal hitam/or chio (black pomfret) and yes, it was very good, not like the one we had here recently.

The total for the food and rice was RM29.00 – it was cheaper at this other place but I do think what we had here tasted a little bit nicer and I sure would not mind coming back here again another day…if I can find a place to park my car, that is.
