Poor Peter, the boss, was so distraught over the loss of his prized collection.
We dropped by for lunch that day and the display shelves looked so bare…
…and it sure is kind of sad that a piece of the whole of what Payung is has gone missing.
This is new…
…the display of the photographs of all the dishes they have on their menu and no prize for guessing which mine are…
Of course, they did ask for permission to use my photographs and of course, I had no objection whatsoever. At least they had the decency to ask unlike some people who would just google for photographs and take the liberty of using in their publication(s) any that they fancy without giving even a mere mention of the source(s).
My girl wanted the lamb masala (RM19.00 with rice)…
…and the mum had the kacang ma chicken (RM16.00 with rice)…
…while I had the Bangladeshi lamb curry (RM19.00 with rice)…
…and we asked for the pomelo salad (RM8.00)…
…to go with our orders and we also shared the kahlua ice cream ice cream (RM10.00)…
…for dessert. That sure was delightful, as always when it comes to eating here, and on our way home, we stopped by here to buy one whole smoked organic chicken…
…for our dinner. It so happened that my ex-student in my English language tuition class, was around – he owns the place (and they now have a branch in Kuching) and everything else affiliated to it like the organic chicken farm, the factory that provides the meat and everything to the supermarkets in town and they even have their own-made sausages – and the nice guy insisted that the chicken was on the house. Now, wasn’t that so very sweet of him? Thank you so much, Richard – rest assured that we would be dropping by again and again for our favourites here.
