Brother and sister…

The sister runs this other place selling the same things, more or less, and we’ve actually been there twice while the brother is here…

At Happy Hours, Rejang Park

I’ve blogged about this one before…and some are of the opinion that they like the ones here better. Well, I would say that both are very nice and one thing that I like about it here is that the brother is very polite and friendly and he will serve your orders to your table. At the sister’s place, they may or may not do that so at times, you may need to get what you have ordered and bring it to your table yourself to eat.

Well, we dropped by for brunch the other day and I wanted to order something from the old lady at the stall next to this one but she was already cleaning up and closing for the day. I have had the chin tan (clear soup) here before so this time, I decided to go for the zhao cai hung ngang (RM6.00)…

…and  yes, it was very nice…

…plus I loved the very spicy chili dip that came with it. As a matter of fact, I am not particular fond of this – my missus is the one who would usually go for it – but I really enjoyed this one here.

My girl wanted the tom yam but she did not want the hung ngang (big bihun) so she asked for the regular bihun (RM6.00)…

…instead. She enjoyed it very much but there was a little too much bihun for her to manage so she finished everything, even the soup to the last drop, but left some of the vermicelli behind. She isn’t a very big eater, not like the father.

The mum was o.k. with the hung ngang and she wanted tom yam (RM6.00)…

…as well and I was wondering why they got a different kind of dip – the regular bottled chili sauce with soy sauce added. My missus would have loved the one I got as she is so into anything spicy, the spicier the better!

She enjoyed what she had…

…but the next time we drop by here, we would make it a point to ask for the nice chili dip that I had…and we would also ask for around half of the bihun for my girl and maybe the guy can give an extra slice or two of the fish or more of the minced meat instead.

Yes, we enjoyed what we had and for sure, we would come back here again…and for your information, they open in the morning but will close early – before or around noon and they will reopen at night around 6 and will stay open till 10 or 10.30 p.m.
