Heard it all before…

Well, if you’re one of those who habitually drop by in the middle of the night or those who do so early in the morning at the break of dawn, you probably would have seen this before – last week. Yes, I did blog about it all once but the post met with an untimely demise – I removed it and delegated it to trash as it seemed that what was mentioned either in the post or the comments did not go down too well with a certain individual but I will not elaborate further on that and will just let the matter rest.

In the aforementioned post, I was talking about my breakfast outing with my friend, Philip, currently home from the US, and how we went looking for some kolo mee that a friend told me was very very nice. To get there, I turned left at the 2nd roundabout, along Jalan Wong King Huo on the way to Farley, not into the first road – that is Jalan Jerwit but the second one, Jalan Bukit Lima Timur.

We drove around the first block of shops on the right and we did not have any idea which the one with the very nice kolo mee would be so we just stopped at the coffee shop with the most number of customers (2.277403,111.853582) where there was this stall in front…

Front stall

The stall behind it sells stuff like pan mee, Sarawak laksa and lor mee and I noticed there was somebody frying at the back so I guess one can opt for fried noodles, kway teow and the like here as well.

I ordered the beef tripe soup…

Gu tor soup

…that came with a  plate of kampua noodles, no meat (RM5.00 altogether)…

Kampua kosong

…and yes, it was good!

Philip had the kolo mee (RM5.30)…

…which he liked very much and like the one he had here, he also liked the coffee at this place – after having had a few disappointments at his regular favourites in town.

All in all, I would say that we enjoyed our breakfast but considering that this place is more towards the other side of town, not really near to where we stay, we probably would not venture this far, or not too soon, at least, and would settle from something else closer to our homes.
