This was the first time I met her and her hubby…and we met again the second time here…and they were back in town again, Mary and her hubby, Steven, all the way from Aberdeen, Scotland and we managed to meet for lunch here which is located round the corner from our houses, not far away.
I had tried just about everything there so this time around, I asked for the chicken rice…
The rice was so so and the chicken was like…chicken but the chili dip was so so so good, very spicy and very nice!
I spotted some stewed chicken claws with some lovely-looking eggs alongside those scrawly, skinny looking things and of course, I just had to order one…
– the egg, I mean, not the claws, thank you very much…and yes, the egg was really good…
…I must say. Yum yummm!!!
My missus had the beef noodles and my girl had the Sarawak laksa…
…while Steven asked for the fried kway teow…
…and Mary had the nasi lemak special with masak hitam beef…
…but the sambal proved too hot for her to handle. I guess she’s not really into anything that spicy, unlike us, especially when they have been living abroad for so long. Other than that, I guess everything went down pretty well with everybody and of course, the best would be the getting together part and catching up with one another’s lives since the last time we met.
We did manage to have a snapshot taken…
…for remembrance and thank you so much, Steven and Mary, for picking up the tab for our lunch and for these goodies you brought all the way from the Land of Lochs and Legends…
We’ll meet again sometime.
