Usually, Melissa will try and get a lift from one of her colleagues to come home to Sibu on Fridays. That way, I will not have to drive all the way to Selangau to get her. Well, this was the second time that we went to the vicinity of Farley on the other side of town to get her – the first time, we dropped by this place to eat…and this time around, a number of weeks ago actually, we went to their sister restaurant right next door…
This one is smaller than the one near my house and seemed less busy…
Melissa’s friend had the black pepper beef with rice and she said it was very nice…while Melissa had their lamb curry…
…also with rice and this was really good too. The meat was very tender and the curry tasted great.
It was almost 3.00 p.m. in the afternoon and I already had my lunch at home so I thought I would just order their longan tofu (RM3.80) for myself thinking that it was probably longans with tofu fua but when it was served…
…it turned out to be longans with almond jelly after all. It didn’t matter really as I found that it was pretty good…but I did feel it was a bit too pricey for a little bowl of dessert like that.
Nonetheless, this, I would say, would be the best thing I’ve seen for a long time…
Every day and everywhere, we see and hear of prices increasing – right down to the price of kampua noodles at some places around town, I hear, but here, for the fish burger set, they have reduced the price from RM8.90 to RM8.50.
They now have an outlet at the “new” Sibu airport…and when we went to KL that day, I checked out the prices and found that things there were more expensive – by 50-80 sen or more…which I thought was pretty reasonable knowing only too well those unreasonably astronomical prices that we get at all Malaysian airports but I was told the other day that they have reduced the prices there too – so what you pay there will be the same as all their other outlets in the town proper.
They sure do deserve our double thumbs up, don’t you think – our very own Sarawak fast food franchise?
