I guess it is a commonly-known fact that there are more sheep in New Zealand than people so I jolly can’t well leave the country without eating its lamb. I did not go to any place fancy though – I happened to see this sign…
…as I was passing by the fast food outlet at Lambton Quay in Wellington and I decided to give it a try. If it is a lamb burger, where better to eat it than in New Zealand, don’t you all reckon?
I ordered the Serious Lamb Burger combo…
…which, if I remember correctly, cost NZ$11.90…and came with french fries and a drink.
The patty is very nice…
I love lamb so I did not have a problem with that.
There is also some beetroot in it along with the lettuce and all the usual suspects and a fried egg as well…
I was wondering if I should order something else so I asked the girl at the counter if it would be very big and she said “yes” and would not encourage me to do that.
It was indeed very big and I would say that I did enjoy it…but I was so full in the end that I could not even finish half the fries. Perhaps I shouldn’t have ordered the combo…
