Go back there again…

I have not been here much lately, or definitely not as regularly as before. For one thing, there is not much point going when there are usually just the two of us – my missus and me – and she does not eat that much and I would have to finish everything which, of course, isn’t a great idea if I want to watch my figure. Hehehehehe!!!!

Last Sunday, however, since Melissa was home already, we went back there again for lunch after the church service. The first thing that she insisted on having was the Foochow-style cangkuk manis fried with egg…

She certainly missed that a lot and was craving for it.

We also had the creamy butter prawns…

…which I very much prefer, compared to the dry version.

I also ordered the honey-coated spare ribs…

If you may recall, I tried cooking that but with chicken and it was not very successful…unfortunately. It certainly came nowhere as nice as what we can get here.

We also tried the deep-fried pumpkin…

…dipped in salted-egg batter…

…and I would say that was very good too – very tasty and crispy.

The servings were huge – enough for at least 5 people, and we could not finish all of it so we had to tapao the leftovers home and had that for dinner. The bill came up to RM58, inclusive of rice and drinks…but considering the amount they served for each dish, I would consider it as being quite reasonable. Perhaps the next time around, I can request that they cook for two persons only and perhaps the portions will be just right then…for the three of us.
