Get here…

My friend, Ivan, was here last year, more or less one year ago, and he dropped by again to see me for a couple of days last week. Gosh! He was flying to Kwangchow the previous night and upon returning from there, he hopped on the morning flight to get here.  I met him at the airport and took him here for the kampua noodles and the piansip soup. He did not get to taste that on his last trip to town and needless to say, he loved them both so much! Initially, he said he would want another bowl but by the time he was through, he was already too full and simply could not manage to tuck in anymore.

I had the kampua piansip combo (RM2.50)…

…and my usual kopi-o peng while Ivan had the teh-C special…or the three-layer tea…

…and he said it was very nicely done.

And look at what he brought me…

Memorabilias from the airline! The mouse certainly is timely as I’ve been using this well-worn out one that has seen better days…

My daughter used this before a long time ago but she got a new one when I got her a new laptop just before she left for New Zealand. As for the cup cover, I could use it to cover my mug when I brew my daun bumi hempedu tea every morning…but I don’t think I would. I guess I would just keep this in my cabinet along with my other treasured souvenirs.

Later on his first day here, I took Ivan to this place as he wanted the Horlicks Godzilla (RM5.20) that he loved so much on his first trip here and of course, he had the kompia – the ones with the minced meat filling (RM3.20 for 3) though…

…and the rum & raisin mille crepe (RM7.80)…

Well, stay tuned, folks…as there will be lots more to come! Wink! Wink!
