Anytime…

I remember the jingle they use in their advertisement, “…so good you can eat it on its own!“

But unfortunately, I never really liked their buns and muffins – those that I used to buy from the 7-11 shops for breakfast in the hotel room before departing by taxi to KLIA around 5 or 6 something in the morning to catch my flight home to Sibu, well before they started serving breakfast in the hotel cafe or restaurant.

However, when my niece was home recently for the weekend, she bought us this loaf of butterscotch bread (RM4.20)…

*Who’s that Uncle Slocumm, can anybody enlighten me on this?*

…and I must say that it certainly was good enough to be eaten on its own, as claimed but still, I would very much prefer it with generous applications of peanut butter or jam instead of having it plain like this…

As they say, old habits die hard and that, I simply can’t deny.

The waffles (RM1.40 for a pack of two slices) were very nice though…

…even when eaten cold without any melted butter or thick syrup or honey or ice cream.

If I’m not mistaken, these are usually available at the airport shops (though I may be wrong) and anyhow, if I happen to see them anywhere anytime, I certainly would grab a few packets to bring home. They are that good, or at least to me, they are!
