Rasa sayang…

Rasa sayang eh, rasa sayang, sayang eh…

Well, that was where we went for breakfast the first thing in the morning after Mandy and Yee Ling and her girls had flown into town. The latter and her daughters flew in late and only arrived in Sibu around almost 9.00 pm. the night before so after we had picked them up at the airport, we headed straight to the hotel where they were staying…and they had kampua noodles at the coffee shop downstairs just for a bite before checking in. Mandy, my missus and I were all so full from our heavy dinner at Ruby so we just tagged along and had drinks, just to keep them company.

So, there we were at the cafe that morning, my missus and I together with Mandy and Yee Ling and the girls…

…and here’s Yee Ling getting her huge equipment ready while Mandy was probably busy uploading more photographs onto her Facebook page…

LOL!!!

Yee Ling ordered this kampua noodle soup for her daughters…

Somehow, the older one would prefer eating things with soup, it seemed. I had never had the ones here though I had some of those elsewhere and I usually prefer kampua noodles, dry…but that morning, the girls could not finish and I tried a bit of the leftovers.  Hey! It was really good! Very tasty, a whole lot nicer than the usually bland ones elsewhere. I think if I were to drop by again, I would order that. It was that good!

The rest of us had the dry version of the kampua noodles, of course…

…and they loved it! Yee Ling said that it was much nicer than what we had here and Mandy loved the slices of braised meat that came with the noodles.

I also ordered a bowl of the pian sip for everyone to share…

I had their dry version a long long time ago and I thought it wasn’t really great but obviously, they have improved. I wouldn’t say it is the best around but it was good enough and everyone enjoyed  it.

After that light breakfast, I took them on a tour of some interesting places in the town and we also stopped at some places to buy things that they would want to take home with them until it was time for lunch…
