If you may recall from this previous post, I was in the vicinity looking for the tomyam kampua noodles that someone recommended on Facebook and ended up eating the Sarawak laksa that I thought, somebody else said was good. Well, it turned out that I was mistaken – that was NOT the place! Oh me oh my! I had gone to the wrong place!
Left with no choice, I had to head back there again and I made sure that I went to the right coffee shop this time…
In case anyone’s wondering where it is located, it’s in one of the blocks of shops across the road from Wisma Sanyan…
…the tallest building in Sibu – the one to the extreme left and not the one where McDonald’s is.
This was the Sarawak laksa (RM3.50) from the stall there…
I had requested them not to put any shredded chicken so all I had for the condiments were the prawns and the thinly-sliced egg. The broth was nice…
…but I think the one that I had at the other place was a little bit tastier. This one had two huge prawns though whereas the other one had a few miserably small ones.
The sambal belacan (dried prawn paste) here…
…also paled in comparison – the one at the other place was more fragrant and a lot spicier and thus, had more oomph to it!
Whatever it is, it was still good and nicer than many other places in town and this bears testimony to the fact…
Need I say more? LOL!!!
