Send it to me…

Annie-Q‘s mum dropped by my house the other day to send these to me…

Marmalade/jam from Elaine

They’re from Elaine – her own homemade orange marmalade and pineapple jam.

Annie’s mum had gone to Taiwan for a holiday and she stopped by KL on her way home and she gave me this…

Taiwan fish floss

– fish floss from Taiwan.

Well, I have not tried either of them but I’m sure they taste really great.

A cousin of mine from Bintulu was back in town too for the Ching Ming Festival, the sister of the one from Brisbane – the one who gave me the chocolates in this previous post, and she gave me these…

Claypot noodles

These are specially meant for claypot noodles and I enjoyed the ones that I have had before. I’m not too sure whether I can cook anything like that but I will try – perhaps when my daughter’s home for the holidays so she can get to enjoy them too.

My cousin also gave me this packet of the original, unadulterated Bario rice

Bario rice

…and unlike those factory-packed ones, this would be very fresh and would, of course, be much nicer.

Thanks so much, Elaine – it was so sweet of you to think of sending those to me…and thanks to Annie’s mum too for the fish floss and for going through the trouble of delivering everything to my house even though she was down with the flu after the trip…and thanks also to my cousin for the goodies.

I am truly blessed in having all the wonderfully loving and caring people all around me, there can be no denying that, and for that I am truly very grateful, praise the Lord.

Indeed I am truly blessed to have friends like them and like you too… Would be very much more blessed if you care enough to drop by on a visit… Hehehehehehe!!!! πŸ˜‰

  4. you’re so loved and blessed…

and i send you lots of love and well wishes that you stay healthy and happy:D

Thanks, thanks. Like they say, it’s the thought that counts – can’t go wrong with all the positive vibes…or good feng shui. πŸ˜‰

  5. so nice of them to bring you all those stuffs.. the homemade marmalade looks so nice.. hmm, you can spread them on a piece of toast and then top the with the fish floss, hmmm, sounds nice, right?? :p

You think so? Hmmm…I may give it a try. Will blog about it if it’s any good. LOL!!! πŸ˜‰

  6. Yup, you are truly blessed with everything. And the homemade orange marmalade, pineapple jam & fish floss looks nice….and gosh!!…the bario rice would make nice porridge.

Yes, I dunno where my cousin got this Bario rice – very much nicer than the ones my missus used to be from her colleague – not too sure about those factory-packed ones. I’ve never tried that myself…

  7. You are one good person that’s why you are blessed with equally better person around you πŸ™‚

Like ants to sugar? Or a moth to a flame? LOL!!! πŸ˜€

  8. wow….so many goodies. I had the Taiwan fish floss (MIL bought from Taiwan last year) and I still prefer meat floss. Fish floss has got fishy smell. haha….

Yup, I’ve tried. I think meat is nicer too…but it’s all right – good with porridge or bread. I’m ok with the fishy smell.

  9. Hope you like the fish floss, actually when my mum told me fish floss, i go “eeeeeee” it must be fishy, but after i taste it, it is ok wor, still can accept, not so bad. You must “toast” it a bit on the pan and keep it in container, it will taste nicer.

The noodles, it looks like yee mee to me.

Melissa will be back home for holidays again? Good good good!

Yup, I toasted it…and it tastes ok. Fish, of course fishy lah…and I don’t mind. I love any kind of fish, small or no smell. is yee mee…not cooking it yet. Melissa will be home from last week in May till mid-June so she’ll be around when you come… πŸ˜‰

  10. Arthur,
Go and make your own bread and use the fish floss as the fillings. I tell you, the bread will be so nice.So lucky you, so many people sayang you πŸ™‚

I can’t bake and I can’t make bread… But I’ve bought bread – maybe will eat with the fish floss tomorrow. They’re quite nice really…just that I prefer the meat ones.

  11. Why are you so adorable one??? You receive so many gifts from people staying far or near! Blessed is the one who gives and receives…. πŸ™‚

    You also, sama-sama… πŸ˜‰

  12. I’ve never tried fish floss before, wonder whether it’s popular in KL. I like meat floss and bakgwa – always eat so much in one go that sore throat becomes its sidekick. Oh, and bakgwa must be pork lah, not chicken. I am a piggymate.. πŸ™‚

I can eat as much bak kua as I want, no problem…but not the beef ones – will get sore throat and come down with fever. 😦

  13. wah all those goodies! they are very thoughtful gifts and i wished you could share them with us here! hehe

Ya, I would…if you were in Sibu. πŸ˜‰

  14. You deserve all the love, you are so generous and your sincerity shines through your action. Not easy to find a friend like you nowadays.

Thank you, thank you…and I would say exactly the same about you and perhaps, even more.. πŸ˜‰
