We dropped by Tokyo Street at Pavilion KL…
…when we were there that day seeing that Melissa was so very keen on going as she had heard a lot about it – well, who hasn’t? I myself have seen a number of people blogging about the food and the eateries there and singing their praises.
Personally, I wasn’t very impressed nor excited as I’m not into Japanese cuisine and anyway, we were all too full from the dim sum brunch with Quay Po to eat much else. Melissa wanted the ochado…
Don’t ask me what that is – I can only guess that it is some kind of bubble tea and I’m not crazy about those either, much less if I would have to queue for it – no, thank you!
Then I spotted this…
Hey! They’ve a shop by my name – I wouldn’t have expected an English name in the Japanese-themed surroundings, not at all…and this one sells something that I love – mille crepe!
What a coincidence!
There are many different flavours but one thing’s for sure, they do not come cheap! I bought the mocha…
…which tasted bitter and something like cough medicine.
I also bought a slice of the mango too…
…as Annie-Q told me that she likes it but probably the ones not from this place as this one was nothing great either. I had to fork out RM10.50 each for the two…and it would not have been so bad if they had been really very nice. Tsk! Tsk! Frankly, I would much sooner go for the vanilla-flavoured ones in Sibu that I can get for only RM6.50 a slice anytime…and I hear they’ve a new flavour out – matcha (green tea) at RM8.50 a slice, still cheaper than those two…but I’ve yet to drop by to give it a try. Hmmm…I really must get down to doing that one of these days. Anybody wants to tag along?
mango mille crepe should be delicious..
Not at all…and just look at the side – so miserably untidily done! Disgraceful really! 😦
mille crepes are nice no matter where I have them.. yum! 🙂 hey this post is up earlier than usual! at midnight XD
Not these – not worth having at all… Come to Sibu and try – then you’ll know what nice crepes are like… Yup! New Year, new schedule… New posts will appear after midnight.
awesome! midnight is a good time to publish XD
A new day, a new post… LOL!!!
Happy New Year, Arthur 🙂
RM10.50 for a piece of mille crepe is way too expensive i think. =.=
Precisely…and amazingly, they never batted an eyelid over there at such astronomical prices. I expected them to be sooooo much nicer – unfortunately, they were not worth the calories at all. Not even nice… 😦
I met Quay Po last night… went for dinner…and she gave me a box of cookies her Quay Lo made… very nice… =D
Hmmmm…the poor lady does not know what she got herself into… Muahahahahaha!!!! 😀
Eli, I should have given that box to you after dinner so that poor boy of yours will not sapu everything and leave nothing for his Daddy! hehe Did he get a nightmare last night eating so much sugar??
The anak like the mother like that lah? Eat and eat…all like Somalian refugees, so skinny. The hubby also like that… You see, kesian or not…like nothing to eat one. Muahahahaha!!!!
Jahat u…I am very sweet and innocent wan… Quay Po say I can be her younger dotter wan. LOL!!!
Then hopefully she can feed you better…not all bones, so kesian! 😉
same name as you tarak give you discount ka? Dont think I will be buying that anyway coz am not really crazy abt crepe
Maybe you’d love the ones we have here… A whole lot nicer!
Kathy, think twice before you go Sibu. We have cucuk Cikgu so much lately… remember what we talked about last night on FB? S&M!!!!! Ask you scared or not? hehehehe
No worries…this cikgu S&M = sweet and manis one…. 😉
Quay Po pleaze don’t scared die people lah..haha.
See the hubby bigger than me at least two times…you think she will be scared? No way! 😉
Oh can scare die Small Kucing Mamarazi meh? You don’t know her then hahahaha
Yalor…and he hasn’t seen PapaKucing!!! WWE wrestlers pun lari… LOL!!! 😀
LOL….later he bring makan 10 meals a day leh LOL
No problem… Anything he can do, I can do better! 😉
Hahaha… I dun tink Kat will takut anything… she got bodyguard, ppl sekilas pandang oso takut him leh.
Yalor…just sit on anybody, even tahi will keluar one. LOL!!!
i’ve only been there once.. haha.. parking at the pavilion is expensive 😛
And the crepes are a lot more expensive than the ones we have here…and not nice at all. 😦
ya very expensive!
Place for the rich and famous…
Small Kucing, that’ why I only been there once and that is because my son was performing there. You are right, everything at Pavilion is ULTRA expensive!!! That day hor, after having dim sum with this rich and famous guy from Sibu hor, I chauffeur driven him to Pavilion. I forgot to open the door for him so no tips for me that day:( Nevermind next time I chauffeur him there, I must remember to roll out red carpet and then open door for him to get a BIG BIG tip from him. muahahaha
Aiyor…that chauffeur, the passenger from Sibu had to give directions one, how to give tip? Muahahahahahaha!!!!
The green tea crepe tasted better than the vanilla one. The green tea taste is not too overpowering. You should give it a try and Anthony (our ex student) suggested that I ordered one for the CNY. Hahaha… just could not imagine the extra calorie count from all the cream…..
I’ve tried that. I think I prefer the vanilla… 🙂
Just had Melaka’s famous Nadeje millecrepe over the new year’s weekend, total yumz at RM9 per slice! 🙂
+Ant+
Must go and try – these seem very popular…a lot of people have been talking about it…but at RM9, it is more expensive than the ones here too. Hopefully, the taste is better as well…
never expect things to be cheap in KL now, in fact everything seems to be so overpriced, yet the sad thing is that everyone just flocks over to get them like they will never be alive tomorrow.. hahahahaha~~ 😀
Yes, I was quite amazed at how people spend…when things are so expensive. I certainly would think twice before buying…
Wow… look at all those layers, I’m intrigued! I believe my mother made something similar — but that was years ago. I must ask her the name, so I can attempt to make it.
You know… with a name like Arthur, you’d have thought they’d at least be friendly, and have all sorts of delicious treats. Well, you are a hard act to follow, doesn’t sound as if they tried to hard though. 😉
At least you got to hang out with your daughter, that’s a treat. 🙂
Ya…her wish is my command. We were very full at the time, otherwise she would have tried some of the stuff there – she loves Japanese. I think mille crepes are French in origin, if I’m not mistaken.
Did you meet the boss of this shop? Is he big like you or not? Can take insult wan or not? If not ask him to take down that sign board!! Don’t smear my cikgu’s resputation!! wahahaha… Arthur, you are wrong telling Eli that she does not know what Quay Po get herself into meeting her… It should be the other way round. Quay Po is an expert in turning any evil fairy into a even more evil one!! Remember, after coming here so often STP has turned this kind hearted Quay Po into a hantu pontainak? huhuhuhu
No lah…just one girl, did nbot seem very smart and definitely not in the least, friendly… Tsk! Tsk! In Japan, where got sour puss like that one? Like that one to call Tokyo Street. Ptui!!!! Me kah? You know I was a teacher before…a highly respected respectable teacher…and look at what they’ve done to me. Better run, quick…as far as you can before you end up like me…or worse still, like them! Muahahahahaha!!!!
Quay po Cooks..We all where got insult Arthur, one? he’s so cute and cuddly with his puppy eyes, where we got the heart to insult him?…we all just usik-usik manja him only,mah..muahahahaha ( opps! wrong laugh!…that laugh sounds so jahat)…hihihihi ( this is a much better laugh and more demure…must laugh a bit only with your hand covering the mouth).
You can cover your mouth when you laugh, men cannot – like pondan nanti. Men must laugh out loud – MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Like that, baru like a man! 😀
That’s my girl. Walk like a lady, talk like a lady, laugh like a lady… not like STP!! Sound like a lyric of a song man. So rhyme wan? Arthur, you play your guitar, I sing this song to Shereen. hehe…hehe.. (hand covering mouth). Example by leadership!!
I know this song!!! She looks like an angel…walks like an angel…talks like an angel…. She’s a devil in disguise!!! Elvis Presley!!! So appropriate the song hor! Hehehehehehe!!!! 😉
LOL… all sot liao, keep laughing. hahahah!
Yalor…somebody, turn off the laughing gas please! 😀
KL pricing is like that… if sell in IPOH, sure no business liow.. I just heard Burger King is now closed in IPOH.. what a pity! ..
Burger King at KLIA departure also closed down liao. Maybe the company jacking up the franchise costs? US economy in very bad shape – they do not have so much money now…want to squeeze other people.
Burger King’s price is expensive ler…no wonder they can’t do as well as McD.A few also close shop in PJ and KL area….but I like their burger..got that nice burnt chargrilled smell..shiok!
I have not been to those places for a long long time now… Expensive and with that kind of money here, we can have so many things a whole lot nicer. Mostly for young people – those with retarded tastebuds one. Hehehehehehe!!!! 😉
Eh, ya kah..the burger King in KlIA departure close down already?Sayang nyer…at least Burger King in KLIA not bad la compare to the stupid Jalan Alor Wa tan Hor…that one can give ppl die of heart attack, man.Dah lar kena self service, their face see also you get so angry..all so papaya one.The price you can get at least 4 pinggan outside!!Cisss!!!
Where Jalan Alor? Jonker Street, is it? That one especially expensive… Never ate there, cannot afford. 😦 If you want BK, you will have to come out of the departure lounge – I think the outlet to the left of international arrivals is still open.
Ipoh PEOPLE, “how jim” (sharp mouth) , want good and cheap wan. Want to sell something not delicious and expensive in Ipoh, SURE DIE wan!! hehehe
Sibu also tak kalah – ai phee, yeu ai chee…yeu ai tua liap nee…. (want cheap, also want fresh and also want big breasts)… Muahahahahaha!!!!!
Like you lar..master of S&M…muahahaha
Who? Me or Quay Po?
oh, in that case, maybe burger king is pulling out from malaysia…
psst… by the way, i have not catch the meaning of S & M yet.. what is that??
Sometimes, ignorance is bliss… Just ignore those people! LOL!!! 😀
Claire, you really so innocent or not? You old friend with Arhtur right? how can you not know what is S&M? Arthur show Claire what it is!! M&M, you know or not? Small Kucing Mamarazi said melt in your mouth, not in your hands… steamy hot like Cleffairy’s “ham sup” novels… muahahahaha
Hey! Don’t contaminate poor Claire! Adoi…that Kucing also tak kalah hor… *shakes head. I think I will have to classify my blog now – 18SX… 😦
I think I have tried the Nadeje’s in Melaka ones but I can’t seems to remember much about it…must have been not that great for me not to remember lar. Many bloggers sing praises about it although I don’t see what is so fantastic about it.I guess ( not sounding pompous ) if you haven’t tried good cake before, even mediocre food tastes nice especially when ppl get influenced by the price tag.
You have tried the Malacca ones kah? Not nice kah? Hmmmm….you must try ours when you come again. Sure you will love it! Heavenly… See my post tomorrow.
Life is like that staying in KL and have not been to Pavilion, KLCC tower, KL Tower etc maybe not my priority moreover tQ for the pixz seeing them from blogs is good enough for me haha..~;).
You Kajang so far away, lagi you have your hands full with mangoes…oops! I mean, Mango… Muahahahahaha!!!! 😀
Of course, you don’t go to these places lah. Not for you and me. You and I are not famous yet like our beloved STP ma. kikikiki
Muahahahahaha!!!! You go shopping in London, New York, Paris, Milan…I go Pavilion, can only see one – cannot buy anything as cannot afford. 😀
Yalor not ngum for Bananaz to visit/shop at such aXe-pensive places moreover not welcome, people said lay eggs no got but drop peels got and all over only nia.
Better than me – whole day at Mid Valley, did not spend a single sen. Makan, Philip paid and drinks, Bananaz paid. Really thick skin hor,..this tua pui from Sibu… 😉
not only everything inside this mall is expensive, parking fee by hour there is killing man!
And yet so crowded, so many shoppers. My daughter bought a pair of shoes – had to queue half dead… If me, I would have walked away already… No need to buy. 😦
there’s such crepe thingy at malacca too! mali-mali 😀
There! Shereen said not really nice… Maybe like KL ones… Sibu ones – simply best lah!!! Slurpsss!!!
**waving very hard here** Can you see me? Yes, yes I want to go. Please bring me there to try the match green tea crepe,ok..LOL.**thick face betul** But i dont care la, i know when comes to makan…muka also put aside.
This is a MUST drop-by pit stop when you come to Sibu. I was there with Mary – see tomorrow’s post… 😉
Wah..I learnt new phrase today..’muka also put aside’…muahahaha.See, your blog very informative and educational..lol!
I can imagine you doing that. LOL!!! 😀
Me! I’m coming back in a couple of weeks, would love to try out Sibu’s version. 🙂
You’ve got a date…that is if you can break away from your many girl fans and you’re keen on going there with me. LOL!!! 😀
People here are crazy about bubble tea specially my sister. I’m also not into it. I love the Christmas mille crepe photo! Happy New year to you and your family! May you have a fruitful 2012!
Yup…here too…and those Taiwan desserts. I really don’t see what’s so nice about those things. 😦 Ya…a Happy 2012 to you and your family too…
Opsss!…RM10.50 per piece, that cost a bomb. I think in Sibu with that amount you can have a very satisfying meal. The mango mille crepe looks nice though. Got durian mille crepe or not?
Now what happened, Irene? Suddenly you become a number – like a prisoner? Muahahahahaha!!! No durian at this particular place… Where got nice? The sides overlapping…the layers not nicely arranged…and sooo expensive. Tsk! Tsk!
Dunno, something went wrong with my computer. That is 6D number, go and buy, tonight out. hahahaha
Almost like my old IC number – change the 8 to a 9 and all the digits are there. 😉
Ermmm!!!…RM10.50 per piece, that cost a bomb. I think in Sibu with that amount you can have a very satifying meal. The mango mille crepe looks nice though. Got durian mille crepe or not?
Oops…duplicate comment…except that the other one, you were a number. LOL!!! 😀
Nak ikut!!!!!
Come! When is your next trip home? 😉
Ooi, Malaysian chauffeur like that wan mah. You think what? London chauffeur ar? You should thank your lucky star, your chauffeur that day did not take to to no man’s land!! hehe pause, hehe pause (with hands covered my legs) because I am a very ladylike lady chauffeur. Shereen, you too, when you laugh from now on, don’t forget to pause and cross your leg okay?
Ummmm…me lah? Cannot cross my leg, so how? Muahahahahahaha!!!!! 😀
OOPS, hands covered mouth lah, why I type legs pulak??? muahahahaha
Hahahahahaha!!!! I was thinking you are not welcoming – no warm welcome with open arms and open legs…Oops!!! Kihkihkihkihkih!!! (the gatal laugh) 😀

“Chui chui tee tango…” So who’s going to give me a big kiss for the right answer? French kiss, no less… LOL!!! 😀
Arthur Mille Crepe? Is it a new shop? How come i never know..hmmm..should check that out next round when i go to Tokyo Street.
The mango one not nice? Hmmmm…i know i like the vanila and mango, other just so so to me. RM10.50? Wow..i think at food foundry they are selling at RM9.90 per pcs. Vanilla is cheaper i think around RM8.50? Had been sometime not eating this mille crepe..maybe one day i should go and visit food foundry and take some nice picture and tag u. kekekkekekekke
No use… We have them here and I can always go and eat. Nicer and cheaper some more. Hehehehehe!!!! 😉
I wouldn’t fork out RM10.50 for that. Maybe bcoz I don’t really fancy sweet things or call me kiam sap! Anyway, good to visit Tokyo Street at least once since it’s so famous. Btw, did you know that there were once a primary & secondary missionary school on the grounds where Pavilion now stands? The school (dated more than 101 years then) together with a public swimming pool nearby had to make way for this development. It was my school! 😦 But, I’m happy with Pavilion, another avenue to shop! or window shop, since everything’s so darn expensive!
I think I had a friend teaching there – Elsie Cheong…or Mrs Elsie Kok, teaching Enmglish – BB Girls, right?
Right! Can’t recall a Mrs Elsie Kok or Elsie Cheong…probably not my time..hehehe. What year did she teach there?
In the 1980s? Oops…forgot – you’re much too young to be her student. Muahahahahaha!!!!
i just passed by this shop today and was tempted to buy a slice. Lucky I didn’t. hehe
Lucky you… Frankly I think they have a lot more nicer stuff down in the basement food court. This Japanese thing is just a gimmick.
