I must have been really very good the whole year through for it certainly seems that this fella has been dropping by…
…again and again!
But this time around, he sent a helper – a Santarina in the person of Julia who comments regularly in my blog.
She’s presently studying in Perth, Western Australia and is home for the holidays. She gave me this pretty Christmas card…
…and these biscuits and Scottish shortbread as well…
Isn’t that so sweet of her?
We met for lunch with Luke and another friend, Justin, at this place and I had their nasi lemak special…
…which was good except that the rice could do with a bit more santan (coconut milk) and the sambal was not spicy hot at all. They all had stuff that I’ve featured in my posts before like the sizzling beef kampua, the braised three-layer pork rice and we shared the kompia. minced meat and three-layer pork…and the mille crepe as well for dessert.
But wait a minute!!! That’s not all that Julia carted back to town. She also brought home for me a whole lot of goodies for me from Yoong, another regular commenter from Perth – more expensive Scottish shortbread, lots of them…
…and a whole lot of other yummy stuff, even a recipe book for the missus and Melissa…
…plus a special Australian calendar and I really love the fruit bowl…
…that Yoong’s hubby made himself using Agonis Flexousa wood which emits a very pleasant woody fragrance. Thanks so much, Onn, for taking all that trouble to make that for me – I certainly appreciate it a whole lot.
And Yoong’s Christmas card is the 6th one that I’ve received this year…
Didn’t I say in an earlier post that I should be getting at least half a dozen?
A million thanks, Yoong and Onn…and Julia for giving me all the stuff – may God bless you all this Christmas and the whole year through…and I must say thanks also to Justin for taking care of the bill at lunch that day – we’ll go out to eat again sometime and next time, it will be my treat, that’s a promise…
good morning! *yawns*
Morning. You’ve taken over from Cleffairy, I see… Deadlines to meet, eh? All finished already? 😉
no… need to stay awake for 3 weeks till mid Jan! goshhhhhh.

Poor thing! Santa Claus would go to bed after December 25th…once his job is done. LOL!!! 😀

Have you been good all year? LOL!!! Ya…good way to stay awake when working late at night. 🙂
Fowww… haha.. i WISH santa would send someone here… a girl friend perhaps ? XD
Gosh!!! The winter cold has gone into your head? Or somewhere else in your anatomy…and made you go all horny? Muahahahaha!!!
Nasi lemak special not 2.0? hahaha. Your wish came true half a dozen cards already.
Yes, that’s just about what I would get every year… Not so many anymore. 😦
You are such a lucky guy! 🙂
I most certainly am… 😉
Arthur, I am not surprised at all about all the gifts you get at Christmas time. I thought you are very busy in KL, how come you got time to blog ar? You brought your laptop with you meh? That shows that you miss us very much. One day also cannot leave us lah. As much as we are addicted to you, you are no less addicted to us! hehehe… There is only one answer why you are so well loved by your blogger mates, friends and family… Can you guess what? You always ask us to guess something and give us a prize so now my turn to ask you to guess, give me the right answer and I will give you a prize. Let’s see how much you know about yourself:D
I’ve scheduled posts all ready so I will not miss a single day – I think readers get bored with irregular posts and may stop dropping by. Yes, I’ve my laptop with me to reply to comments in the meantime…but I can hardly find time to bloghop. Will resume that when I get home.
What? What? I’m sure it’s not my sexy body…nor my gorgeously handsome face… Muahahahahahaha!!!!
Hey, I forgot to tell you, I noticed our photos are much sharper and the color are more brilliant, are you using your new camera already?
Yes, I am…and I use Microsoft Windows Photo Viewer…and its auto correct feature to enhance the photos a bit.
Walao! So canggih! i oso dono wud is that! =.=
Left-click on photo in My Pictures and click Open with…and click Windows Photo Viewer from the options given (including Picasa)… Mana ada canggih? You can photoshop, I can’t…
Cis… I cannot photoshop la… bukak itu program onli i oredi pening pening, dono wud to do… that is why my pictures all blur blur… dahlah no photography skill, photoshop skill oso 0. LOL.
Can learn. Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Hehehehehehe!!!! 😉
wow, that’s so lot of biscuits all nicely packed!! and i love them so much, you are such a lucky man Arthur to have people remembering you and send you all these sweet memories.. but of course i guess you have to give before you can take, bravo!! 🙂
“I can’t give you anything…but my love!” 😉
It looks like you’ve been a really good boy with so many people showering you with presents! That’s very sweet and the kitty card looks so cute.
Yes, I remember a t-shirt caption: When I’m good, I’m very very good and when I’m bad, I’m even better… Muahahahaha!!!! 😀
nice christmas gifts.. so far i’ve only got a shower gel from body shop.. haha..
Poor thing. Wait till next year… Now that you’re a celebrity blogger, you’ll have all the gifts…and the money pouring in. 😉
It sounds fun to be able to catch up face to face with your blog-friends. I certainly hope one day we will get to catch up too. I hear you are in KL … whereabout? If time and place permits, coffee chat would certainly be fun.
Anyhow, MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and your family as well as all the commentators here.
I’m at Renaissance…but leaving tomorrow. Well, there’ll be other times, I’m sure. In the meantime, stay in touch…
Not sending out any this year. Probably will do for CNY..LOL!!
Neway, thanks for the lovely Christmas card.
Welcome.
Very happy to know that you like the fruit bowl – the crack shows the naturalness of the wood and Onn’s already fixed it with epoxy. Onn said to let you know that he enjoyed turning the bowl for you. If you want pepper and salt shakers, he would happily make for you, too! When you become grandpapa and you want a wooden rocking horse, Onn can also make you one. I mean, make a wooden rocking horse for your grandchild lah! Muahahahaaaa!
Enjoy the shortbreads and chocolates. I got you that tin of shortbread as well so that when shortbread all finito, you can keep your Jacobs cream crackers in it!! (I only like the Malaysian Khong Guan brand though, haha!)
From both of us to you and your family, the bestest and warmest of wishes!
Thank you and the same to you and Onn. Give me a wooden rocking horse…sure will end up becoming brokeback one. Muahahahahaha!!! 😀 Oh no, oh no…please don’t give me any more things – so many already, feel so bad…I will never be able to reciprocate. 😦 I like Jacobs… 🙂
I like Jacobs too. Always take them with butter or margarine…and everytime I’m not feeling so well, I’ll take that to fill my stomach instead of plain porridge. I find Jacobs is much more agreeable than the mushy porridge.
I will only eat Jacobs sandwiched – one side butter and the other side peanut butter, and dipped in kopi-o… 😀
Only the rich can butter one piece and peanut-butter the other piece of his Jacobs before eating! muahahahaaaa!! I dunk my Khong Guan in milo only…
That’s why I do not eat anymore… Cannot afford liao! Sobssss!!!!
Wah lucky u! STP I’m sure u have heard of the phrase Pay it Forward Hor :p hint hint! Hehe. Anyway I wish u a very merry Christmas and a happy new 2012 year!
Thanks, and the same to you and Saucer. Yes, of course…there’s a movie by that name and there was a comprehension passage on it one year was in the SPM Examination (English paper). I try to snowball as much as I can…share with others, give what I can afford but as I don’t have much money to give, mostly it would be my good wishes, blessings and prayers.
Simply because you are a good and generous man yourself,,,,,
Thanks for the kind words. Generous with my love and affection and friendship… 🙂
Very nice! Yeah, you’re a very generous person yourself, I reckon you would look like Santa too if you don the beard. 😀
Like I said in my reply to Eugene’s comment, I try to be generous in my friendship, my love and affection for friends and loved ones. 😉
*NOD* vigorously 😛
The Santa bit? I think I will look for part time employment this time next year…as Santa. Hohohohoho! I wonder if anyone is looking for a God of Prosperity for Chinese New Year? 😀
Wow everyone knows the way to STP’s heart……. via his tummy! lolz
+Ant+
Often has it been said that that’s the way to a man’s heart… 😉
so much gifts leh 🙂 You are loved.
Much blessed indeed… 🙂
So blessed..a neverending supply of shortbread 🙂 ..sweet!Eh, how come nobody comment on the nasi lemak one? For once, I think that nasi lemak look so darn sedap and so mewah..penuh satu pinggan. Hungry, leh!!
Anyways, have a pleasant and safe flight home tomorrow.Take care.
Thanks, over so soon… Sigh!!! You will not like this nasi lemak – tak cukup lemak and not spicy at all. 😦
Refraining from commenting on the nasi lemak, because if I do, I’ll go hunt a plate myself too. LOL!
No problem here. Can get it anytime any place…not like in NZ. 😉

Nasi lemak look very good !! When I read your post , Cruz saw it and ask me to buy Nasi lemak for him tomorrow as breakfast .
Noodle house sure very generous with their peanuts and anchovies .
Hahahahahaha!!! Lucky thing Cruz still has his molars, can chew… LOL!!! You will like this nasi lemak – not spicy at all. 😉 No lah…people are all so kind, so generous… Pity this old man, retiree…cannot survive on the miserable pension… 😀
Kekekekeke…. who needs to be a celebrity blogger when they can be a well-loved blogger… right, Cikgu? 😛
Yes, “it’s not about the money…money…money…” LOL!!! 😀
Exactly… it’s all about ‘makan, makan, makan!” Wahahahahaha! Ish, talk about food, I feel so damn hungry now… must go and dig the fridge and makan liao. Tsk!
But no money, no makan… LOL!!! 😀
WOW! You get goodies all the time!
Ya? So what am I getting from you? 😉
hey Sir.. I finally get connected to the cyberworld! It seems ages since I blog hopped.. u r the first blog I visit… so much to catch up… sorry, I don’t think I have time to send christmas cards this year… reading your post reminded me of that.. someone sent me a greeting card.. our good fren, Mandy… and here I am in Singapore.. .hope to get something when I get back to IPOH.. .so how is your trip?. I must read your previous posts for updates! Wherever you are, hope you enjoy yourself!!
Wah…in Singapore! So kaya, everything’s so expensive there… Yalah, I know lah – where got want to go to Sibu one when can go to places like Singapore, Korea, Japan, Hongkong etc…etc…etc…? My trip? Watch out for my posts – will start day after tomorrow…and spill over till after Christmas. 😉
*shudder* Looks for Shereen… jaga, jaga, nyonya… ini orang gonna torture us with food posts soon enough.
Not really… Biasa only. Didn’t really eat a lot… Old liao, go slow. 😦
Lots of goodies……they really sayang you!
You leh? You no sayang lah… You’re in KL too, right?
yup, like what christopher said, i sense lots of love here.. love all around XD
It’s so nice to love and be loved… Thanks, Isaac, for so very kindly taking some time off to give me and my family a lift to the wedding dinner…and for the fruits. I owe you one.
Among all of those cards… i like the one with two kittens on it the most. So cute!
You’re a cat lover, that’s why. Some prefer those of religious significance.
Well… I used to don’t like cats. Sked they claw me, but after my family and I was saved from the burning house by my furkid, I’m positively cat and dogs lover. LOL. Now I very sayang my cat punya… but so far still haven’t dress her up like Shereen’s furkids. LOL!
You see what the strays do to my car…and the headless mice they leave rotting in the compound…you would know why I don’t like cats.
Love reading your blog, your stories are so heartfelt…
Love yours too. Your photos are simply breathtakingly awesome. Welcome and thanks for dropping by. Will link you in my blogroll. Do drop by again. 🙂
