I must have been really very good the whole year through for it certainly seems that this fella has been dropping by…
…again and again!
But this time around, he sent a helper – a Santarina in the person of Julia who comments regularly in my blog.
She’s presently studying in Perth, Western Australia and is home for the holidays. She gave me this pretty Christmas card…
…and these biscuits and Scottish shortbread as well…
Isn’t that so sweet of her?
We met for lunch with Luke and another friend, Justin, at this place and I had their nasi lemak special…
…which was good except that the rice could do with a bit more santan (coconut milk) and the sambal was not spicy hot at all. They all had stuff that I’ve featured in my posts before like the sizzling beef kampua, the braised three-layer pork rice and we shared the kompia. minced meat and three-layer pork…and the mille crepe as well for dessert.
But wait a minute!!! That’s not all that Julia carted back to town. She also brought home for me a whole lot of goodies for me from Yoong, another regular commenter from Perth – more expensive Scottish shortbread, lots of them…
…and a whole lot of other yummy stuff, even a recipe book for the missus and Melissa…
…plus a special Australian calendar and I really love the fruit bowl…
…that Yoong’s hubby made himself using Agonis Flexousa wood which emits a very pleasant woody fragrance. Thanks so much, Onn, for taking all that trouble to make that for me – I certainly appreciate it a whole lot.
And Yoong’s Christmas card is the 6th one that I’ve received this year…
Didn’t I say in an earlier post that I should be getting at least half a dozen?
A million thanks, Yoong and Onn…and Julia for giving me all the stuff – may God bless you all this Christmas and the whole year through…and I must say thanks also to Justin for taking care of the bill at lunch that day – we’ll go out to eat again sometime and next time, it will be my treat, that’s a promise…
