Forgiven not forgotten…

I have not been to this place since I discovered when I was in Penang, that they are charging us RM1 more for the drinks at their Sibu outlet. I have not dropped by to buy the cakes either but anyway, the things here are not cheap so considering that I do not have that much money to splurge, I would prefer to go elsewhere. However, my daughter wanted to go there for lunch after we had attended the Sunday service the other day so there we were, the three of us – my missus, my daughter and me.

We were given these complimentary crisps while waiting for our orders to be served…

The two of them had their ice blended green tea (RM7.50 each)…

My missus had their grilled mushroom chicken (RM14.00)…

…which reminded me of the terrayaki chicken that I had at this place and I did not think it was all that great either.

My daughter had the Irish lamb stew (RM26.50)…

…which I have had before and I quite liked. Melissa said that when we had that in Sungai Petani, we all loved it a lot but when she went back again on her own and had the same, she was somewhat disappointed. Possibly this could be due to poor quality control at these franchise places, especially the local ones.

I had the spaghetti meatballs (RM14.50)…

…which I thought was quite good…

…but the meatballs, though very tasty, were a bit hard. Perhaps they squeezed the balls a bit too hard- the meatballs, I mean…so they were kind of overly compact. I would think that my own balls were a lot nicer – the meatballs that I made, I mean. LOL!!!

The total came up to a whooping RM87.95, inclusive of service charge (RM7.50) and government tax (RM4.55). I honestly feel that I could take that money and go some place cheaper for something just as nice, if not nicer…and no, I’ve not forgiven them for overcharging us on the drinks and rest assured that I will never forget either… Tsk! Tsk!
