I’ve lost count the number of times that I’ve been here but Melissa had been to this place once only – on my birthday last year, 2010 and this was just her second time. We went to the evening service that Sunday, the day after she got back from New Zealand and we had a simple dinner outside so that my missus would not need to bother about cooking dinner that day.
I ordered the creamy butter prawns…
…which everybody loved.
The sour plum sauce spare ribs…
…were very good as well.
Melissa wanted the fried cangkuk manis that she had not had for almost a year…

…and was craving for it as well as the Foochow-style tofu soup…
– the one cooked with canned oysters, minced meat and thinly sliced Shitake mushrooms and ginger.
The bill came up to RM47.00 for three persons and I would consider that to be very reasonable especially when we had prawns. It would definitely be more than RM50.oo at least elsewhere.
Well, that certainly was a delightful dinner – Melissa loved all that she ate…and we went there again on my birthday. Watch out for the post – coming soon!
