He was home for the weekend and he was so sweet as to want to see me again and go out for lunch or something together.
He even bought this for me…

So after several text messages and phone calls, it was finally settled and we agreed upon the place to meet. He said he wanted something synonymous with Sibu so of course, we had the fried midin (wild fern)…

He said it was really nice…as good as it was years ago and he can never find the same in KL or elsewhere. I guess by now, some of you would be able to guess where exactly we went for lunch.
They had beef curry that day – something new…so we decided to give it a try…
It turned out to be very good, the beef was tender and the curry was very nicely done.
That certainly was a delightful lunch and nothing beats getting the chance to meet an old friend again. I certainly hope that we will get to do this again sometime…
