Well, don’t ask me what this means…
…for I really do not know and unfortunately, it certainly is not my pocket that is full of gold. Sobssss!!!! I guess something must have got lost in translation when they were naming the shop and making the sign.
I just had to drop by the place the other morning as Annie-Q has mentioned to me more than once that it has the best pian sip in town…
She said that the skin is very very thin unlike at some other places…
…and that’s the reason why she thinks it is really very good.
I had the dry version and I thought it was good but I prefer the ones I had here and also here. Perhaps I should have tried the soup one.
Anyway, since I was already there, I thought I might as well give its kampua noodles a try…
My verdict? It was good enough – not the best in town but can be an option should someone happen to be in the vicinity and is looking for something to eat.
The shop seemed to enjoy pretty good business…but I noticed that the one at the other end of the next block (right behind the Sibu Polyclinic) was bursting at the seams with customers. That Ah Kow kampua noodles that I grew up eating certainly seems to be going strong and is still a crowd-puller to this very day. Perhaps I should drop by one of these days to eat it…once more for old times’ sake.
