Now THIS is another reason why you should come and visit Sibu – you can stay in a hotel…

…that may not look very impressive on the outside…

…but it is pleasant enough…

…and clean, plus it is really very cheap!

A room with a queen-size bed is only RM65 a night and this one with a king-size bed…

…is, believe it or not, just RM70. When I stayed at the cheap/cheaper hotel in Penang, it was RM135 a night and the room was not even half as nice…nor was the washroom…

You have the usual coffee/tea making facilities…

…and there is this flat-screen plasma tv with your favourite channels…

A triple room with a big bed and a single is RM85 and for two big beds, you only need to pay RM90…compared to RM180 for a triple room at that hotel in Penang…and it is definitely a whole lot better than this one or this one in Sungai Petani…or even this one in KL.

The only thing is that  it is not in the town centre (5-10 minutes away, Sibu being a pretty small town) and neither is the one in Pennag but if you’re staying at this one, you will have at least a dozen coffee shops and half a dozen restaurants like this one or this one or this one within walking distance…a supermarket, convenience stores and bakeries all in that same area…and Boston and Secret Recipe are just around the corner.
