Melissa loves Glee and Kurt Hummel is her favourite character in the show…
Chris Colfer, that’s his real name, won the Golden Globe TV Award for 2011 for the Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.
In the series, Kurt’s mother had died when he was young, and he had lived alone with his father, Burt, ever since…and in this episode, his father had had a heart attack and Kurt was dedicating the song to him. Melissa loved it so much that she even shared it on her wall on Facebook.
Well, Melissa and I have always been very close ever since she was small as her mother worked shifts and most of the time, the two of us would be left to our own devices. The three months or so that she had been home were great – I guess she enjoyed herself a lot and I must say that I most certainly did.
She’s flying back to New Zealand tonight…and I am so happy and relieved that my regular reader/commentor/friend in NZ has so very kindly offered to meet her on transit in Auckland and make sure that she gets on her connecting flight to Wellington from the domestic terminal. You’re a God-send, myfriend, bless you.
It will be another year…or a little less than that, before it will all be over and she will come back. Everything has worked out o.k. in the past year and I pray that it will be the same or even better this year. I am sure deep in her heart, Melissa knows only too well that whenever she needs to, she can just reach out…and her father will be there to hold her hand…
Bye-bye, love… Have a safe and pleasant flight. Take care and God be with you always…
