Moment by moment…

Believe you me, we were already bursting at the seams after the steamboat lunch but we just could not resist stopping by this place for the irresistable strawberry desserts…

Strawberry Moment dessert cafe, Cameron Highlands

They had all the alluring stuff on display in the glass counter like this blackforest cheesecake…

…and their strawberry strudel…

My daughter had that (RM7.50)…

…and she loved it very much.

I had the strawberry and ice cream crepes (RM12.90)…

…and it was simply out of this world.

My missus had something called “Melts-in-the-mouth” (RM12.90)…

…which was equally nice and Mandy ordered the strawberry ice cream boat (RM8.90)…

Gosh!!! All those to-die-for desserts and for a moment, I actually believed that heaven was a place on earth – right there at Strawberry Moment, Cameron Highlands.

  1. I think Claire went to this place too… ooo… the desserts looks so sinful!

Forgive me…for I have sinned! Muahahahaha!!! 😀 Dunno if Claire went to the same place – the name she mentioned in her comment was a bit different…

    1. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone… lol… I’m certainly not qualified, for I have sinned more than u. Kakakaka… early early morning I oredi hentam laksa…Hahahahahahahahaha! Ya… I think the name was different… mebbe I’ve mistaken, but I know she went to similar dessert house like this!…

Laksa? Have you cooked those rempah that I gave you? Any good? Claire probably went to the same one but doesn’t exactly remember the name – my missus also like that.

    2. Yup…Claire went to this place before. I saw her post

I can’t remember. You went to Cameron not too long ago, didn’t you? Or was it somebody else?

  2. Those strawberries look incredibly good. I can see the leaves on some of them, so I assume they’re locally grown. Someone should start growing them in the highlands of Sarawak too.

Yalor…so many highlands, all unexploited. But then again, the NGOs would come up in arms against the idea.

    1. Well, the NGOs didn’t stop the rainforests from being decimated so it just takes a strong tycoon to have the right connections (and cash) to start exploiting the highlands. Who cares about highland ecosystems when we can have fresh strawberries!

Yup…but not those people. They would want to maintain the status quo – where the natives live happily in the jungle and live happily off the jungle. Wonder why they do not move in and live with them like that…except for one guy, as far as I know, who was kicked out of New Zealand for instigating trouble among the Maoris there before he came to Sarawak. Dunno if he’s still alive – rumour has it that he has died.

  3. Not fair. I wanna taste this heavenly dessert too. 😀

So near, and all those so very nice highways – you can go up there anytime so very easily…unlike we deprived, under-privileged people on this side of the country.

  4. waaah flooding of strawberry desserts….what a great post to start my day haha
i like that Melts-in-the-mouth dessert… i see some mallows there yummy
the strawberry and ice cream crepes are quite tempting too
    Good morning arthur

Morning, Milton. Told you…they’re simply irresistable, so very nice…like heaven is a place on earth…

  5. Where are my strawberries, where are they, where are they? Sob sob…..ok next time don’t forget ya?

Huh? What happened? You lost your strawberries? Oh dear… Muahahahahaha!!! 😀 Ya…next time, I ‘m hoping YOU will bring me up there…and then I’ll buy the strawberries for you. Wink! Wink! 😉 LOL!!!

  6. That one moment in time you’re in cloud 9 savouring spoon by spoon..lau nua liao..(drooling)..haha

My tagline for my link to this post on Facebook: “For a moment like this, some people wait a lifetime…!” 😉 So, any plans to go up there – I’ll tag along!!! LOL!!!

      1. That’s Hindi – let’s go..

I see. We’re not going to go singing up the hills and down the valleys there, are we? And then hundreds of guys and ladies would appear out of nowhere in the same outfits and dance to the same synchronised steps? Muahahahahaha!!! 😀

  7. Whoa pandai got this song moment by moment connected to the Strawberry Moment to give you one moment in time enjoying your precious moment on top of the world where heaven is a place on earth…

And on Facebook, I use “A Moment Like This” – Kelly Clarkson. Nah!! You’re too old to know that one. Muahahahaha!!!!

    1. Kelly who? Sorry I was not born then no wonder dunno her but know someone quite same name in American idol.. same person?

Hey! You do know her? You must be quite young then…just like me! Muahahahaha!!!! 😀

  8. LOL.. so I guessed correctly… there is a branch now in Ipoh.. so far havent visited there yet.. but the strawberries are a bit sour, don’t you think so?

Not really, just a hint of the sour taste and a lot of strawberry fragrance…and with the ice cream and the crepes…yum!!! Thank goodness they do not have a branch in Sibu – I wouldn’t be able to resist dropping by. Once in a while, ok… 😉

  9. Wow! So cool to see fresh strawberries on the winter solstice. I guess there are always strawberries somewhere..Here, the best ones, with real flavour and sweetness are locally grown and only around for a few weeks at the end of June and into July.

I think I’d go for the crepes – sucker for ice cream – although I’d prefer chocolate sauce. Now I’m wishing for a piece of strawberry pie loaded up with whip cream … as if there aren’t enough goodies around for Christmas ! LOL

Hah! Definitely not in season there, eh? So what are you having for Christmas? Rich fruit cake and pudding? Minced pies? Turkey and ham? And lots of wine? 😉

    1. Haha, you know what? All of those will be on the menu somewhere over the next few days! Plum pudding with caramel sauce is a favorite! Don’t forget the homemade shortbread cookies! And copious amonunts of wine to be sure!

“amonunts”? Don’t tell me the celebration has started? Cheers! 😀

      1. Haha, in about 30 minutes..the start of 5 nights of excess!

Forgive him, Father, for he has sinned! But then again, who hasn’t…or hasn’t yet? 😉 LOL!!! 😀

  10. Arthur…glad you had so much fun in CH and all those good food along the way. You know something, you should have told me that you were coming to Ipoh, then we could have taken you to somewhere nicer lo 🙂 Anyway next time please do let me know or I won’t kawan you :p

Merry Xmas to you, Missus and Melissa and have a happy and prosperous 2011…good health always and lots of makaning :))

    Cheers,
    Elin

Same to you, Wild Boar and your piggies. LOL!!! Sorry, I did not expect we were going to stop in Ipoh on the way – all we wanted to do was to cross the bridge before it got jammed…and stop by some place along the way for breakfast. I thought it would be some R&R stop along the way. If we were going to Ipoh, sure I would have got in touch with you to meet up…and maybe pick up one or two of your very special own home-baked cakes for Christmas. LOL!!! 😉

  11. Wow! It looks heaven!!

Is this the new dessert place in CH? I don’t think i saw this during my last trip there few years ago.

Noted down, if going to Cameron again, i will visit this dessert cafe, all look good, especially the strudel and the crepe. I wonder is the strawberries sour? But i know Cruz will be a happy boy, if he see all these. During our last trip there, he still not like strawberries much, now he is a strawberries craze. Always ask me buy strawberries for him, even those sourish from Cameron he also sapu!

Hah!!! About time you go to Cameron again. Come, show Cruz the photos in my post. Sure he’ll pester you to go there… Gosh!!! The desserts are really to-die-for! Yum! Yum!!!

  12. It’s definitely a place that we must drop by whenever we visit Cameron!^-^ Did you try the T cafe, the strawberry cheese cake and scones are very good too!;D

Happy winter Solstice to you and family!

Didn’t see that one…but with the steamboat and these desserts, plus the corn and the sweet potatoes and the ubi kodok…I wouldn’t think we would be able to eat anymore. That will have till I get the chance to go to Cameron again. See, Bananaz is going to take me there sometime…and we’ll sing and dance like in some Bollywood movie! Hehehehehehe!!!!

Happy Dong Zhi to you and your family too.

  13. slurp slurp.. me very suka strawberry 😀 da strawberry n ice cream crepes looks yummy !

Easy for you all over there – just take a drive up Cameron… Not like us from over here. 😦

  14. for a person who doesn’t fancy strawberries, these desserts do look tempting enough for me to try them!

You too? I would never touch strawberries before this…but after those desserts that day, I’m craving for more…

  15. If not mistaken, i read about this shop before at claire’s blog. Simply awesome by just looking at them….especially the strudels.

Not to forget to wish you n family a Merry Xmas!!!

Same to you and yours. Yup…they keep telling me that Claire had a post on this place but I can’t remember seeing it. Old man – memory not so good liao. LOL!!!
