I mentioned in an earlier post that my daughter and I went for the weekend hi-tea buffet at the Concorde Inn KLIA where we spent the night before taking the evening flight the next day home to Sibu.
It was really cheap at only RM30++ per head – a lot cheaper than the weekend buffet dinners we have at the hotels here in Sibu and we do not even get half…or perhaps, not even a third of the selections they had in the buffet spread.
I really enjoyed all the tempting delights that they had to offer for dessert, like this bread pudding…
…which has always been my weakness.
I also loved the apple pie…
…and the chocolate cakes – this one…
…and this one…
…but I gave the chocolate cheesecake a miss…
…as of late, I’ve grown kind of tired of these creamy cheesecakes.
All in all, top marks would definitely go to this…
…that was simply out of this world.
Of course, I did not bother to sample the Malaysian kuihs, the kuih talam…
…and the kuih wajik…
…even though they looked pretty nice too.
There were also a sushi counter, a pasta counter, two salad counters – one Malaysian and one western…and even a hawker stall counter with stuff like sotong kangkong and noodles and an ABC (air batu campur) counter too.
I am sure it is quite hard to find something of that price range in Kuala Lumpur proper…and I wished I had not gone for the buffet breakfast that morning so that I would be able to enjoy a lot more than what I had that afternoon. Sigh!!!
