Together as one…

I mentioned in an earlier post that I would be attending my ex-student’s wedding service in church…

Mark & Sylvia's wedding

…so there I was with Mark…

With Mark on his wedding day

…just before the bridal sedan arrived…

The bridal sedan

…bringing the radiant bride-to-be, Sylvia…

The radiant bride, Sylvia

The father walked down the aisle with his daughter…

Father and daughter

…to hand her over to the groom, standing at the altar waiting…

Here comes the bride

The service started, the vows and rings were exchanged, the papers signed and the newly-weds walked out the church as man and wife…

Man and wife

…together forever as one.

  1. Eh he’s the tennis playin guy rite

Yup, I remember he was playing when in school, should be your senior – not around your time, if I’m not mistaken.

  2. As u said, both of them really looked radiant.. Congratulations to the bride and groom…

    Thanks. Ya…they certainly looked so happy… πŸ™‚

  3. A, you look great, not a day over 40! And the bride and groom look pretty good too.

Humph!!! Now, what have you got up your sleeves? Want a dinner treat, kah? No problem…wait till your next trip back to Sibu, anytime. πŸ˜‰ LOL!!

  4. My office computer rejected your blog’s new format, now I have to check out your blog using my itty-bitty phone. *sigh*

    Oh? I wonder why… 😦

  5. Weeet! Loving your blog’s new look πŸ˜€

What a handsome couple there. Congrats to Mark and Sylvia…

And ehem… STP, you look good too πŸ™‚

You like?…Ya, thanks for the good wishes. Me? Ooi…you need new specs or not? Muahahahaha!!!!

  6. oops– I know him – his mum was a good friend long time ago–did u see her at the wedding? vv handsome boy.

Dunno the parents – father an SHS boy, if I’m not mistaken. Met him once, can’t really remember what he looks like. I know his uncle better – my classmate (but he was in science, I think)…and the aunties – the lawyer and the one running the travel agency. Mark and his missus working where your old man’s working – he may know them…or perhaps they’re in a different section, dunno.

  7. yea so agree with ur “together as one” πŸ˜€

Ya? That’s what happens when a couple get married – the priest said something to that effect too during the service.

  8. wow.. St. Mary’s church.. πŸ™‚ which choir was present?

SH Cathedral’s English mass (8.30 a.m.) choir. I think they call themselves the Choir of the Holy Family of something. Very good, getting better and better. Masses more enjoyable these days…with nice music and singing.

  9. yeap Gerrie – got the good look from the mum-from NZ.

That was what I thought…until I met the grandma once at the airport. He actually looks like the grandma…and I think it was the sister who was the bridesmaid…living in Bintulu, I think – she also has the same looks and dark complexion. The grandma’s not so dark though…so that probably came from NZ.

  10. Ohhh… that’s so sweet… I’ll come back after finish cry. Church wedding pictures always makes me cry. Dono why la… so sweet, very touching. Congrats to them both, and God bless their marriage. Amen.

Thank you. Finished crying already? I also get emotional at church weddings – can’t imagine what it will be like when my daughter gets married. πŸ˜‰ LOL!!!

    1. *sobs* Aiya… dono why la, get teary eyed during churches wedding. So sweet and meaningful, yunno? Hahaha… by the time ur girl get married ah? Prolly you cry a pail and get misty eyes when giving her away. LOL!

Hope misty-eyed only… Wouldn’t dare to think right now. LOL!!! But then again, I thought I would break down at my retirement assembly 3 years ago…but I didn’t. Was actually very happy throughout! LOL!!! πŸ˜‰

  11. i want to get married in the church too … sweet:)

Can…can! If you’re a Christian or if you marry someone who’s a Catholic, they do allow mixed marriages if the non-Catholic partner has no objection to a church wedding. I love church weddings too – wouldn’t be like a wedding without one…

    1. i am a christian but none of my relatives do marriage in church. that kind of half half christian ba, more to chinese tradition -_-

Well, it’s up to you then… After all, it’s your marriage, your life.

  12. Hi there! Love your new blog outlook! And OMG! I think I know the girl!! Sylvia, from Johor?? I think she’s from UTP, my ex-uni! WHAT A SMALL WORLD! MY GOD!!

You like? Good then… Nope, Sylvia’s from Kuching – small girl, and working as an engineer – so perhaps it’s quite likely that she was in UTP.

  13. Ya,good looking couple. The groom looks a bit like ‘Teng kwang lung’! remember him? alan Tan the taiwanese film star…..

    Huh? Tanglung apa? Muahahahahaha!!! πŸ˜‰

  14. hmmm, actually i’ve not been to any church wedding before.. everytime just wedding ceremony at home and in temple, and then loud loud “yaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmm seeeeeeeeeeeeeng” at night during dinner only~~ πŸ˜€

I always make it a point to attend the church wedding ceremony…as far as possible – as a Christian, I would consider that the most important – the union blessed in the eyes of God. I guess you’re not a Christian then… Not crazy about the yamseng bit…since I don’t drink.

  15. Hey there!

I love Mark’s suit! He looks really handsome. And the bride – pretty and radiant, they’re perfect for each other.

They certainly are…and hello! You’re new here – all the way from the Philippines. Welcome, welcome…and do come again. I’ll link you in my blogroll.

  16. Wah, beautiful wedding and lovely couple!
STP looks younger in the photo too! What have you been eating lately?

Must be all the happiness of the many weddings I’ve been attending rubbing off on me. Everyone’s so happy – can be contagious! LOL!!! πŸ˜‰

  17. Actually ah, Cikgu… u look as if you’re in ur 40s. Like my father… he’s in his 50s… but he duzzin look a day after 40, despite of his receding forehead. So hard for me to think my father as someone who is over 40… in my eyes, he’s 40 forever. =.=

Ohhh… you must be a real happy man. Kekekekeke… can see the happiness in your eyes. LOL. Hope when I’m your age, i still look as good. πŸ˜€

Now! What are you up to? You want Christmas present, is it? Or you want kompia when I go over to KL? Muahahahahaha!!!! Thank goodness, can’t see my balding scalp in the photo. That’s good photography – take flattering pics of your not-so-flattering subjects. Hehehehehehe!!!! Attend wedding, of course, must be happy lah… πŸ˜€

  19. wah the prince in white shining armour. he’s good looking woot! but too bad.. married alr!
