My confession…

Fie, I know I said that I would give you a dim sum treat but I have a confession to make – I have gone for the dim sum myself already. Hehehehehe…!!! Oops! LOL!!!

Some of you may recall this place – the Farley Food court which I had mentioned in a recent post…and I think, in my replies to some of the comments, I said that I had heard rave reviews about the dim sum there. Well, I dropped by the other day to give it a try and we had these har kau (prawn dumplings)…

…which were great. Look! You can actually see the two whole prawns through the translucent skin. We also had the siew mai (meat dumplings)…

…which were nice as well…and these…

I do not know what they’re called but they were not xiao-lung pao – I would not have ordered if they were as I do not like the gingery taste and the “soup” inside. These tasted good too, I must say…and so were these…

The pork ribs and yam with salted black beans were nice enough…

…but I’m never a fan of that. I would rather have yam puffs and the ones that I had that day were simply the best…

…that I’ve ever had in town – nice skin and very good char-siew (red barbecued meat) filling.

All in all, for 6 items, the bill only came up to RM20.00 – there were 3 of us altogether but one hardly ate as she was watching her figure. I love going out to eat with people like that! Hahahahaha!!!

For one thing, we were sitting right next to the dim sum stall with the handsome and friendly dim sum chef…

…but I would say it was not a good place to be…as we could see all the things that he kept dishing out and when I saw these, I just could not resist ordering some – braised pork belly wrapped in man tao (steamed bun)…

…but I had no regrets doing that as they were as nice as they looked.

But, Fie, if it’s any consolation, I don’t mind going there again as there seems to be quite a number of items that I did not get to try like these, for instance…

…and these…

…and I did not ask for their char siew pao (steamed buns with barbecued meat filling) either.

So do let me know when you can make it, and we’re on our way! LOL!!!
