Two of a kind…

It was on Chinese New Year’s Day, February the 14th…and my missus and I were to check out of the hotel and make our way to the LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal) for our flight back to Sibu…when my blogger-friend, Annie-Q, dropped by with her hubby and their lovable twins – two of a kind…

Aren’t they sweet and so very cute?

Fearless & Cruz 1

They took us out for dim sum but most of the places were closed. In the end, we stopped by this place in Sri Petaling…

Fortune Dim Sum 1

Annie, who’s originally from Sibu, said that the dim sum was not very good…

Fortune Dim Sum 2

…but to me, it was good enough – and probably any time better than what we have in Sibu…

Fortune Dim Sim 3

She gave me some goodies for Chinese New Year…but I will be featuring those in a later post.

Thanks so much, Annie, for taking the trouble to come all the way to KL to take me and my missus out for lunch before we left for home on the evening flight later that same day.

It certainly was my pleasure meeting you…

With Annie and her twins

…your hubby and your twins…

Fearless and Cruz 2

…and I look forward to seeing all of you in Sibu in April! Till then, all the very best in the Tiger Year…

  1. Oolala! So adorable,not u lah!STP!LOL! the twins! πŸ™‚ Don’t u just feel ‘clucky’?! πŸ™‚

Hey! Am I not cute and adorable too? Hehehehehe!!!! Ya…1st day CNY made new friends, went to “Fortune”…sure to have a lucky year ahead! πŸ™‚ Btw, Annie’s from Sibu – your brother’s student – English – in the early 90s.

  2. try Yuen Garden dim sum in Puchong.. I think their dim sum are of high standard and you wouldnt even get a table on weekends after 10am.. My parents go there for dim sum everytime they are in KL.

Puchong? That’s very far – not unless some kind soul takes me all the way there. There used to be a good one (2007) at an eatery right next to Hotel Nova in Jalan Alor. When I went that day, it wasn’t there anymore. The lousy one at the coffee shop where I had the horrible mee sua is still there though. I had it once – not nice and very expensive!

  3. @Cikgu…LOL… her twins are same age as my Alien. Anyway, her boys are angel… lol…if you meet mine, you wan ketuk his kepala wan, very nottie punya! πŸ˜› Those dim sum looks very nice… making me hungry… lol… nvm la, later I go eat! LOL…

@Annie… *whine* dim sum is my fav… now u made me hungry d!

Dunno about yours, but yes, Annie’s boys are very lovable!!! So lucky – two at one go! πŸ˜€

  4. wow wow wow!! You got two nice pictures of my boys, can i have it? haahhaha.

Great to meet up with you and your missus, although it’s a bit rush. Again apologize for my boys very direct comment!! *paiseh*

Hope to see you again in April and no need to buy me expensive food, i just want to eat KAMPUA!!!! HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

Sure…you can copy from the post onto MY PICTURES… I love their candid ways – young kids, they’re so innocent. Wish grown ups can be like that as well. Ya…see you in April and you can have all the kampua you want and the kompia and the dianpianngu and…… Hahahahaha!!!

  5. They’re twins??

so cute.. I wish I’ll have twins too.. easier ma.. no need to get pregnant and give birth twice *LOL*

Pray hard! Your wish may just come true. I hear they can do that at those fertility clinics…but then, God will have His last word! You’ll never know…

    1. *sigh* It is not easy to be pregnant with twins, unfortunately. I would rather have 2 pregnancy rather than have 2 at one go. Why? The risk is twice as much. 😦 Complications would be twice as much as well. Having twins, is indeed a blessing, but then again… the responsibility is twice that much-financially, parenting… etc, and that is why, in my opinion, God only gives twins to those whom he thinks could bear the double responsibility and double the pain. LOL…

God works in mysterious ways…and how one looks at it will depend on the individual. Some may think it’s double the joy, double the blessing, praise the Lord! I’ve heard of people going to fertility clinics because they want twins – but at times, God have other plans… Man proposes, God disposes.

  6. I just show my sis the twins pic.. She also thinks that they don’t really look alike πŸ˜€

Hahaha.. Yearor.. when I get married one day.. I’ll pray hard that I’ll have twins..hehehehehe… But like you said, God will have His last word.. So, to get twins or not.. it’s okay for me one πŸ˜€

Ya…not identical twins! Sometimes, even better – you get a boy and a girl – one pair! Well, who knows…you may even end up having triplets…or more! Ah Kong and Ah Ma sure happy one! Hahahahahaha!!!!

    1. I am not sure if I wanted twins…twins has always been a genetic in my family. My maternal side… my grandma was a twin… my mum has a twin sister too, and I had one too.

I am a bit scared of getting twins lerr… as my own twin sister was stillborn. I suppose that’s why my daddy loves me twice as much, cuz he lost his other twin daughter when I was born. So sayang me lebih.

Thank God my firstborn was not twin babies… else… I dunno how I’ll handle it. One oso I feel half dead! Lol…God is fair, no? He gave me what I can handle!

Some people would give and arm or a leg to be in your shoes…and some would want to have lots and lots of children as they find such joy in them. Depends on how strong one’s paternal/maternal instincts are, I guess.

  7. How come they dun look alike? πŸ˜€ But yes, they are cute ..

They’re not identical twins mah! Which one do you think looks like Annie? Fearless (left) or Cruz (right)? So cute hor!

    1. @Merryn… they slept in two different placenta while they’re in Anni’e womb, and therefore, they dun ‘mirror’ each other. Wakakakakaaka!

Gosh! Now this post is beginning to sound like some programme on Discovery Channel. LOL!!!

  8. hey… annie going to sibu in april? wah.. so nice.. can meet up again and savor the kampua noodles.. wonder whether i can go with elin or not then..
stp, if u like dim sum, next time u must come to dim sum road in ipoh.. but dont come during cny, it will be like war zone here.. annie, this invitation extends to u as well.. wanna meet your two of a kind, wonder what they will say about me..hahaha…

Yup…she’s coming in April…but not between 16-18, I hope. I will be in Kuching that weekend as my sis-in-law’s son is getting married. Book tickets these few days on the cheap airline and you can get a 20% discount. Quick! Quick! Book now…

P.S. They did not say anything about my missus. Maybe because I’m so cute…like Papa Bear! Hehehehehe!!!!

    1. Actually, I have something to say about your missus…. she looks more like a teacher than you, Cikgu. I dunno why, but your missus have the teacher’s look.

She’s a nurse… And you don’t have to tell me – people say that I look like some prosperous Foochow businessman, but unfortunately, they’re wrong on all counts! 😦

  9. The twins are really cute and handsome! Happy CNY to all of you.
Time passes by fast and we are all going back to work/school soon πŸ™‚

Ya…lucky Annie! Happy CNY to you too… Thanks for dropping by. I’ve linked you in my blogroll. Well, I had a class on Thursday but only a handful turned up! Tsk! Tsk!

  10. Wonder if i have kids in the future…hope they look and behave like their mum~

Just hope and pray. Sometimes, they have very good looking parents and inherit the best features from both – but the end result does not look so nice. On the other hand, they may have not-so-good looking parents, yet they look very nice. You’re not good looking? Fat also? Like me lah…like that! LOL!!!

  11. The average Dim Sum I had in KL is still better than any I’ve had in Sarawak.
The Cantonese make awesome Dim Sum!

They have very good dim sum in Miri…and Hilton Kuching and Holiday Inn used to have very good dim sums – of course, more expensive. I hear Lok Thian’s good too. Used to be good in Sibu…but I guess the Shanghai chef has left and the locals probably would like to cut cost and make more profit…so not nice anymore! So far those (cheaper ones) at the coffee shops even in Kuching, not worth the calories…

  12. @ Cleff…next time we go for dim sum meet up, hahahhahahha good idea?

@ Claire…yea, i am going back in April, want to join me??? Ask Elin go with you, then we can meet in Sibu. hahahha

@ Everyone…yes, my boys are non identical twins, that’s why they don’t look alike. Non identical twins are, they come from two different eggs and they stay in two different “bags” in my tummy, instead of one egg. If the baby come from one egg and they will both stay in one “bag”, so they will look alike. Many people see my boys and i always have to answer them why my twins look different and don’t look alike. πŸ™‚ This is the easier way to explain? LOL

Hahahahaha!!! Seems many know very little about twins. I have come across a number though…both identical and non-identical… So, how many will be coming in April? Would be nice to have a get together. Air Asia 20% discount offer on all flights ends TODAY….

    1. LOL… I wouldn’t ask why your twins dun look alike, Annie. LOL…cuz I have a twin sister… but then again, she was stillborn while I survived, and my parents said, she looked exactly like me…

Gosh! That’s sad… Like Elvis Presley, I think. He too had a twin brother, if I remember correctly.

    2. ahahaha.. thanks for the explanation.. I was thinking what non-identical twins mean… πŸ˜‰

Like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito in the movie – “Twins”!!! What a contrast! LOL!!!
