My daughter loves Italian food – pizzas and pastas…but unfortunately, there isn’t any Italian restaurant in Sibu even though we may be able to get some pasta dishes – spaghetti bolognese especially, from some of the places around here and lasagne at Pizza Hut. The other option is to cook our own and we can also get some of those packet pastas in our supermarts here…
She cooked one the other day…
…and this was what it looked like with a sprinkling of chopped cheddar cheese (No parmesan in the house!) and spring onions (Fusion! LOL!!!)…
It tasted pretty good…and at RM3 something a packet, I should think it is quite affordable…and a welcome change once in a while. My sister-in-law in Auckland can cook some really delicious pasta dishes…but strangely enough, the children prefer the packet ones which, I thought, did not even come close. Kids! They certainly have peculiar tastes, haven’t they? LOL!!!
Anyway, going back to the blog title, I guess many of you do know this song but what exactly does it mean? I googled it up and found the definition – “My sun”. That would probably mean that it is the Italian equivalent to Stevie Wonder’s “You are the sunshine of my life”. Well, for those who have never heard it before, here is a nice rendition by Australian singer Darren Hayes (Savage Garden) and the late Luciano Pavarotti…
Have a delightful pre-Christmas weekend, everybody!
