Car wash…

When I was younger, I used to wash my car myself. It was spotlessly clean, not a speck of dust on it. That was why Stella, on one of her trips here, was shocked when she saw the state my car was in. I don’t get it washed very often but when it gets too dirty, I would just drive to a car wash. After all, it’s only RM10.00 each time.

Well, I have been to a number of places but the other day, I went to this one…

…round the corner from my house…or if I use the back entrance (which would be the front entrance of the house), it is right at the end of the lane where I live. At most places, they would finish the job in a jiffy and sometimes, it was still wet at some places…or there was still a lot of dust inside the car around the dashboard…but the guy at this place took a long time – well over an hour!

In the meantime, I went to stroll around the shops in the vicinity. At one of them, I saw these…

Those must be the leftover or unclaimed complimentary gifts that were supposed to be given away free with the various products. I had no intention of getting any mugs, so I did not bother to check the prices but these soup/cereal bowls were RM2.90 each…

Now, I would think that was a bit too expensive. After all, they got them free in the first place. If it had been anything less than RM2.00, I might have bought a few.

Anyway, I was just browsing around, no intention of getting anything and after a while, I went back to the car wash…

…and waited…and waited till it was done, all nice and clean! It certainly was a job well done and well worth the RM10.00.

Don’t worry! Nothing exciting happened at the car wash and definitely nothing like what you see in this hamburger commercial…
