A sign of the times…

I went with my daughter the other day to walk around a shopping mall in the neighbourhood after our lunch of roast duck and stuff…

Roast duck and stuff

Roast pork

I think the price has gone up by a few ringgit but at RM15.00 for two persons, inclusive of rice, I would still consider that as being reasonably affordable. We went to the bookstore to browse through the books on display and I saw this sign…

Sign at Popular

This is the list of the top 10 Malay bestsellers in April and what caught my attention was that 7 out of the ten titles have the word “cinta/chinta” or love in them. I will refrain from making any comment based on that. Hehehehehe!!!

At another shop, I saw this sign…

Supersave sign 1

They should have left out the word “counter” but since they have included it, then it should be “CASHIER’S COUNTER” with an apostrophe “s” and there is more than one error in the sentence below: “Goods sold is not refundable”, one in the grammar and the other in the vocabulary. By right, it should be: “Goods sold are not returnable”.

Then there was this other sign…

Supersave sign 2

Ah well! I guess that as long as the customers can understand what that means, that would be the most important. LOL!!!

I only bought one item from the shop for only RM4.90, and this is one thing that I’m sure, is going to be a sign of the times and I guess everybody can jolly well guess why…

Blush! Blush!* blinking eyes innocently…LOL!!!
