Look for a star…

I flew over to Kuala Lumpur at 11.55 a.m. on Friday on a nice and comfortable golden airlines flight and landed at KLIA at around 1.30 p.m. There to meet me were two from my radio family, Zee

Zee

…and Cash…

Cash

…even though I said that I could easily take an airport limo to the hotel. We finally got to the Bukit Bintang area at around 3.00 p.m. and since the two had not had their lunch, we went to this chicken rice place next to Bukit Bintang Plaza…

Chicken rice place next to BB Plaza

Zee had the chicken rice (roasted)…

Roasted chicken rice (KL)

while Cash and I had the nasi lemak special…

Nasi lemak special 1

It certainly was expensive at over RM11.00 but then we got a huge piece of curry chicken to go with it. Cash preferred breast (LOL!!!) but I asked for a drumstick (No, not you, Mary! You’ll be in another post!)…

Nasi lemak special 2 - drumstick

We sat and chatted like long lost friends and it was already around 5 when I finally went and checked into the hotel…

Bintang Warisan 1

Many would just walk past the hotel without realising that the hotel was there because there was no big sign with the name of the hotel in sight – just something in very small print on the glass panel at the entrance. You will have to look up…for the bintang (star)Β – the Bintang Warisan…

Bintang Warisan 2

At RM138 a night, which is considerably cheap for a decent hotel in the Golden Triangle of KL, you get a twin-sharing room…

Bintang Warisan 3

Bintang Warisan 4

…and breakfast for two. That, however, wasn’t much to shout about so I would not bother to post on it. Given a choice, it would be better to go to some nearby coffee shop or hawker stall to eat to your heart’s content…

So, there I was…in KL, at last! Step aside, folks! STP is in town! LOL!!!

  1. Wah! You must have really enjoyed yourself in BB! πŸ˜‰

Oh yes! And I went to Concorde! Watch out for the next post! LOL!!!

    1. Ooh… I can’t wait. Did you get to see what I think you saw? Haha! πŸ˜‰

What did you see? I was only there to enjoy the music, that’s all. Eeeee…don’t tell me you and that horny Penang guy had other agendas! Hahahahaha!!!

  2. ha ha ha .. cash looks really different from the night I saw him!!!! ha ha ha .. all groomed up and clean shave the beard ..

Yes! He looked totally different like having undergone a total makeover – and ended up looking like a tamil matinee hero! LOL!!!

  3. Why are you taking a twin-sharing room? Who is that mysterious partner, if any? He..he…

It’s a hotel package thing you get at some travel agency. You pay that amount, you get that room – single or double, you pay the same. That’s a standard double – with two single beds. Some hotels don’t have standard single rooms with a single bed; Harbour View in Kuching does (but room very small). Too bad no partner…but Cibol slept over the two nights I was there, but don’t worry! We behaved ourselves very well… Hahahahahaha!!!

  4. hahaha.. yeah luckily u meant the chicken drumstick.. coz dun wanna be eaten by u.. lol..

right now u must be on the plane flying back home..

it was great meeting you.. finally… πŸ˜‰ and thanks for the souvenir.

I’m safely back home in one piece…got back to hotel around 2 something this morning, got up 5 something to get ready to go KLIA…. Gosh! Thank goodness this doesn’t happen all the time. Old man, where got tahan! Hahahahaha!!! Great meeting you too…and most welcome. Come over to Sibu some long weekend, ask DANIEL (or Cibol) to arrange. Hahahahaha!!! Would be nice to have you all here.

  5. Hi STP, long time no see. No pic of you? Zee looks hungry. Cash looks quite different from the pic in the afternoon’s website. Can’t wait for more pics lol.

You should see Cash after the makeover for the reunion last night! Dashing! LOL!!! Ya, it was already 3 something and they had not had lunch. Will post on the reunion later this week – all posts will appear in sequence according to when it took place… Be patient!

P.S.: So nice to have you back! Don’t lah throw stones! Drop by sometimes and post a comment or two. Like that, baru macam friend. LOL!!!

  6. Someone should make some complain for the hotel sign board. LOL. Next time stay federal or royale lar, more easier for us to find. LOL.
Ya, i think the rates is ok with considering their location and room’s air-cond. XD

Haven’t stayed at the two for sometime now – used to be affordable but now, the rates are a lot higher, of course… If got generous ex-students who want to foot the bill, why not? Hint! Hint! Hahahahaha!!!

  7. Haiya!Y you always take photos of people when they are not looking in the camera! So you must have partied real hard right! Any suffering from post party syndrome now?LOL!

Candid shots mah! If they see, sure they cover their faces one, so the best is to take when they’re not looking. …..Party? Come back for tomorrow’s post!!! Gosh! Had a great time but will probably need a couple of weeks to recover. Old liao! Hahahahaha!!!

    1. Ha ha ha .. a week? Wahlau eh .. that’s a super long hangover lah!!

Wei! I just had a nap for 15 minutes this afternoon. Who slept till sundown? Wah…so worn out kah? The two nights must have taken a toll on you! Hahahahaha!!!

  8. Yo.. Actually first time saw you , i mean, never even saw your photo before… You really live up to your NAME.. HAHAHA πŸ˜› Thanks for the meal that day.. haha

Aioyr! Wanna say I’m fat…just say so lah! Already so fat, don’t care what people say liao! Hahahahaha!!! I was on the other side of the road taking photographs of the hotel…when peteformation walked by and when he saw me, he knew immediately that it was me even though he never really saw my photos as well…and we had not arranged to meet there. LOL!!! Unmistakable!

    1. Now you know harr .. ha ha ha

You didn’t read in my earlier post that I would be going to KL? How come you did not join the mile-long queue to meet me? I could have treated you to lunch or something! Hahahahahaha!!!

  10. Jing met STP?? when? on sat nite?

He dropped by at the hotel on Saturday afternoon after we got back from PJ…and then we went to Secret Recipe. He’s equally hopeless at directions, if not worse! Hahahahaha!!!

  11. Alamak, you got me at my bad angle lah! Hahaha! Anyway, it was great to finally meet you. You’re just like how I imagined you…big, warm and friendly πŸ˜‰

Wish you had stayed longer as Cash and I really wanted to show you around and take you to our favourite mum-mum places. But it’s okay, there’s always next time. Thank you so much for the trinkets from Sarawak, really appreciate them.

The party last night was so much fun and I can’t wait to read your post on that.

Whatever angle, you’re always beautiful in my eyes… Oops! Wrong song!

Well, I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to meet Melissa’s “Kak Zee”. I would love so much to stay longer…but I just can’t right now. Never mind! One day soon perhaps…and of course, all of you are welcome to Sibu and stay at my place anytime. Tidur free, makan free… Just let me know you’re all coming…

I’m sure the post will be out before Webisode 10 gets posted on the fansite! 9 is out! Seen it yet? LOL!!!

  12. wow.. suddenly u remind me that everything back home is expensive..

Compared to Russia?…Well, it’s cheap, if compared to other countries. But generally, it IS more expensive in JB because of the Singaporeans…

  13. Hey Sir, juz happened to c ur “special name” in my friend’s blog and linked over here. Haha~~
Looks like u r enjoying the best of ur life. Good to see that.

Welcome…and do drop by often. Who’s ur friend?…Ya, old liao…so, must enjoy as much as I can while I still can. LOL!!!

    1. Daniel Liew
(can be considered as my senior in Uni)
I supposed u can still remember me bah??
      haha

Who? Me or Daniel? Well, if you were very active in the church activities when you were there, he would remember you for sure. So you’re in that Johore uni also, I see?

  14. Ah so this is the one!

Thanks to the folks and Mag-and-Pat, it was really fun to meet you all. I hope to be seeing you again. πŸ˜€

As for STP, I’ve some photos of Bintang Warisan that I took while waiting for you. Want them? πŸ˜†

Drop by the family website http://magandpat.com if you haven’t had enough of us yet. As for the hotel pics, no thanks. I think the two I took would be good enough to illustrate the point I was putting across in my post.

  15. The nasi lemak is slightly expensive to me, but eating in KL sure like that lah. How to compare with prices in Sibu?

Btw, nice to meet up with you, STP and thanks for the souvenirs : )

I think the nasi lemak at Garden Hotel here does not come up to that amount and I bet it’s nicer. Saw somebody eating it the other day, and it looked real good. Must try it one of these days and post on it. RM10++ only, I think…and this is in a hotel cafe…not just some shop or roadside stall. Nice to have met you too.

  16. Haha.. wow… KL.. even the chicken rice and nasi lemak look so fancy… twin sharing ? Did you combine the bed together ? lolz… hehe

Well, you’ll be there for the next couple of years…so let’s see how long you’ll be singing this tune. As for the beds, ask no questions and I’ll tell no lies! Hahahahaha!!!
