If you’re wondering where I’ll be in the next two days, I’ll be in Kuala Lumpur for the TraxxFm Family reunion. Before I started blogging, I was very active on the radio on the “Pat & Mag in the afternoon” show Mondays to Fridays from 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. In fact, I was such a regular on the show – sending messages to ask for songs, share comments and opinions on matters arising and so on that Pat once said that I was like part of the furniture in the studio or in other words, an integral part of the programme.
Pat & Mag with bloggers Cibol and Bongkersz
I made a lot of friends through the show but so far, I have only met one of those in West Malaysia – Cash, the friendly cabbie, who will be picking me up at KLIA later. Martin who listened to the show all the way from the UK will be in town, so this Saturday, the members of this “family” are getting together and meet one another face to face. That is why I’ll be flying over to KL later this morning.
Of course, I will be taking this opportunity to meet some of the blogger friends. Cibol will be expecting me…
…as there are certain businesses that we would need to settle, and I understand from him that Daniel, Coolku, Drumsticks, Jing etc… will be around as well. Jim Long aka JL will be in KL around the same time, so I’m hoping to meet him and he may bring foongpc along with him.
Peteformation responded to my email and has asked me to go out for breakfast tomorrow morning at 8.00 a.m. Well, I will confirm with you, Pete, once I get to KL and have a rough idea of whatever arrangements there may be.
I also managed to get in touch with some via Facebook and got their contact numbers. I gave them mine as well and some of them took the trouble to get in touch with me. Chriso, for instance…
…sent me an sms saying that he would like to go out with me for a makan. I also got a message on Facebook from eiling who suggested that we met for tea…and I hope to meet the first person to post a comment in my blog – zewt (but has stayed away lately for reasons known only to him himself).
Gosh! So many people and I only have one full day there. That reminds me of a waitress I saw in a coffee shop once. She was wearing a t-shirt and on it these words: “So many men, so little time!” I wonder if she knows what it means! ROTFLMAO! In view of the fact that I will not be around, therefore, I will not be posting anything for the next one or two days.
Do have a blast this weekend! Cheers to one and all!
I’m in papa… C u tomorrow around…
Ya, finally getting to see my son…like Jejak Kasih or what’s the name of the show! Hahahahahaha!!!
I’d like to catch up with you but judging from the many appointments that you have, I guess you’ll pass. But if you do change your mind, do let me know.
Thanks for ur sms… That certainly speaks volumes at to the sincerity of your invitation; I humbly eat my words! LOL!!! I dunno what the people there have got planned so right now, I’m not sure muself when I’m free and when I’m not. The Traxx thingy is from 5 p.m. onwards tomorrow…and will probably last the whole nite thru.
And if you do have time to spare, check out this warehouse sale. Got a number of books yesterday for a pittance.
Not into reading these days. Eyesight is going…going…but I can still survive without glasses though.
Yeah. Like ‘The Last Lecture’ by Randy Pausch which is selling at RM8 only, isn’t it? I got the book for about RM29.00 after a 20% discount at Popular oh.
Didn’t like the book. Nowhere near “Tuesdays with Morrie”.
Yes, only RM8! And a lot of these novels are relatively new. The non-fiction is equally tempting.
In terms of price range, the highest is RM20.
I’d rather go for things that are edible! Hahahahaha!!!
Wahhh… if STP can make it, you guys going for Baskin Robbins ah? *slurp*
The original agreement is carrot cake in Kuching, so let’s stick to that, shall we?…Women are so fickle, will forget what has been agreed upon earlier and change the tune in the blink of an eye. And how come you’ve never offered to treat me to anything in Kuching or wherever you may be, Periwinkles? Hmmm…looks like there is a whole lot of truth in what Higgins said! Hahahahahaha!!!
STP is not a Baskins person. His blog overtly tells you how much he likes savoury stuff. Remember what he said about him doubting me treating him? Let’s see whether he’ll make time now that he has so many friends here in KL.
Ya, you know me so well, Higgins. Surprisingly, for someone my shape and size, I’m not really into the sweet stuff. Well, as I said earlier, let’s just stick to the original agreement – carrot cake (CHEAP!) in Kuching. LOL!!! Will reserve the time for the KL people…
Higgins, fret not. Remember that poem by Rudyard Kipling?
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too.
STP, you going to meet up with Higgins? For something savoury. 😛
So as per my previous comment, when are we going to meet, Periwinkles? I may just hop over to Kuching over the Gawai holidays. Heritage, no less? I can guide you to its location, no problem at all! LOL!!!
Not just savoury but peppery (reminiscent of Sarawak with its fine pepper).
Peppery cos it’s laced with the unmistakable Higgins’ peppery caustic sarcasm? Hahahahahaha!!!
Carrot cake is in Kuching mar. In KL, Higgins will treat you to something different. Not all women are fickle-minded! I remember every word I said, or rather typed. I’ve never offered because I’d tag along when Higgins buys you carrot cake and see how things go from there.
KL was not in the original agreement…and given an inch, we men do not ask for a yard! LOL!!! …..Aiyor! Like that, poor Higgins will have to treat me…AND you as well. Gee! Very smart, this friend of yours, Higgins? Hahahahaha!!!
If I’m around during Gawai, we can all hop over to some nice makan place. Heritage maybe? 😛
Goodie!!!! Now have to see whether I can get to go over or not… Heritage, here I come! No less! Hahahahaha!!! Oops…didn’t notice the clause – “If I’m around…” Suddenly, I feel so deflated! Women! Hahahahaha!!!!
STP, this Winkles can be generous to a fault. At times she says “Chia” and in the end she herself rushes to the counter first. So do take everything with regard to “Chia” with a pinch of salt. But she definitely is a lady of her words. And you can hold her to that.
Ah! That’s good to hear. The way you describe her, somehow she reminds me of…ME! Hehehehehehe!!!
c u later .. ha ha ha.
Yup…see you tonight! Wink! Wink! Hahahahahaha!!!!
Your “So many men, so little time” reminds me of something less suggestive. Dad told me that during his school day, there was this axiom which all of them knew: “Plenty sugar, plenty ants. Plenty money, plenty friends”.
And that’s a fact. a sad fact indeed…but a fact nonetheless! That’s why I have no friends! Hahahahahaha!
Higgins, looks like STP will be busier than the PM oh.
STP boh sia one. Must be doing his last minute packing ah.
Went out for breakfast… wanted to buy kompia but the best in town was sold out (Imagine! So early in the morning!) and I did not want to wait for the next batch…
His answer is displayed in the title of his post. He’ll be there with us in spirit for the next two days. Physically, he’ll be in KL gallivanting.
Well, I may still post something. Who knows? Somebody may lend me his laptop…and there are lots of cybercafes…if I’m THAT bored, that is (like here in Sibu! LOL!!!) and for want of something better to do.
Hmmmmm… then I wish you, STP, a pleasant and safe journey. If you have the time, do look Higgins up. He IS there. 🙂
Thanks. Yes, I know he’s there…and he’ll be in Kuching too.
Just texted him and apparently he has a tight schedule. So STP, don’t say I didn’t try. 😛
Hahahahaha!!!…I’ve responded to that in my reply to one of ur earlier comments.
You did try, so please don’t cry.
Sure it’s not a sigh of relief? Hahahahahaha!!!
🙂
😉
HAhaha..my first and only birthday greetings in the air waves was from you bout 4 years ago??…when cikgu was still teaching…should have been a teacher la….sooooo free.
Those days, no blog mah! Otherwise, can send birthday greetings free of charge! Those smses 50 sen each oh! Hahahaha!!! What so free?…Have to rush there, and rush back on Sunday. You’re the one who’s so free…
“You and I must make a pact
We must bring salvation back
Where there is love
I’ll be there…”
The song just kept playing in my head after I saw the title. Can’t get it out of my head now. Hahahaha!!!
Have a safe journey. You have fun in KL ya! 😀
Not Malaya Kari’s version, I hope! Eyew…!!! Hahahahaha!!! Ah well, as long as it’s not Ken Lee! Yup, thanks. Bet it’s gonna be a whole lotta fun!
Have a swinging time,STP! Not familiar with Msian radio programmes but m sure Traxx Fm must be interesting to listen. Like here,I do a lot of long distance driving n my fav. radio channel is Fox Fm 101.9. Sometimes I also listen to 89.9 which is the christian channel. Ya! Holy-Molly! 🙂
Yup, tnx! …..You can log on to http://www.traxxfm.net and listen online…but the programmes these days aren’t that great. The two djs have moved on to greener pastures. On Thursday mornings, around 8.30 our time, there’s a link up with Radio Australia…
I’ll never forget that time in the the funeral mass here when two ladies(one is a principal)asked you if you’re cikgu a****r from Sibu???..even principal soooo free..hahahaha.
Classic example of different game, same player. Then is was ‘..are you cikgu A?’..and now it’s ..’are you Stp? (referring to your the Bandong episode)
You have a great time there. Cheers
The show started at 1…when everybody driving home from school, and most will listen to the 1st part of the show at least – that was why I always sent my requests early! Hahahahaha!!! Cheap publicity! That was the same question everywhere I went at that time. Are you THE “Cikgu A****r”?…Ah well, some things never change! LOL!!! Thanks.
I listen to Mag & Pat in the afternoon sometimes when I driving. Enjoy yourself to the fullest in KL and have fun with all the blogger you are going to meet. But you have too little time for all those who want to meet you.
Thanks. That’s the problem…I just can’t get away too long owing to my commitments. But they can always come to Sibu and I should be available some, if not all of the time… 🙂
Getting a bit concerned..of C’s comment re MJ yesterday and P’s comment today that Stp…… Bo Sia one.
Of course, bo sia mah! These days people type on computer, where got anybody write by hand one! Hahahaha!!!
wow…what a long list! hope to see you
So sorry, couldn’t get to meet you. Chriso finally caught me around midnight last nite when he went to the venue where we were having our get-together…and he made me eat his shitoe! See photo he uploaded on Facebook! LOL!!! Well, we’ll meet another time when I hop over to KL again….
Safe Journey and Happy Eating.. hahahaha
Thanks…I’m back in one piece – swinehini flu-free!
Seronoknya pergi KL… haha, looks like you’ll be having a feast. Guess your hardcore readers will be STP hungry the next few days.
Flying visit…just for a day! Wish I could be there for a longer time! Watch out for the posts… Hope no withdrawal symptoms showing yet! LOL!!
LOL the photo 😛
Enjoy your time in KL, having fun meeting them and please send my regards 🙂
Thanks. Sure was fun…but too bad it was just a brief visit!
There’s always another time, and good time flies fast.. never enough, I guess.
I certainly hope there will be other opportunities like this one…
What time will you be in KL and for how long? will sms you.
I’m back already – 2 nights only. We’ll meet up when I go on a longer visit next time…
didnt stay away… just reading from reader and… you always show all your cooking… torturing me… i dowan to komen… 😛
LOL!!! Oh, zewt…I’m so heart-broken that we didn’t get to meet. Well, another time perhaps…and thanks for taking the trouble to drop by the hotel. Too bad I wasn’t in – hijacked by peteformation… Hahahaha!!!
Wow! This is awesome! No wonder you said you were coming to KL! For this event. Cool! War…good lor u! No one has ever said that I am a furniture to them! LOL ;D
I met a whole lot of bloggers on the trip. Will post on it in the next few days…
Can’t wait to see you tomorrow, hopefully for tea as planned tomorrow! (if not I will knock your head for not allowing me to meet you after all your sarcastic comments in my FB :p
ROTFLMAO!!! I admire your determination…or should I say, your desperation to get to meet THE suituapui? Hahahahaha!!! Finally caught me around midnite last nite at the venue where we were having at the reunion. My pleasure (Wink! Wink!) getting you see you in the flesh! Oops!!! We’ll meet again soon, I hope.
suituapui when are we gonna meet up wo… *sulk*
When are you coming to Sibu?…I dunno when I’ll go over again, what with the meningitis in Malacca, the swine flu in KL, Penang and Ipoh. Better stay put here for the time being!
hi STP, sorry that not comment on your blog lately, a bit busy and not good in health. You should stay more than a day, then you can come to Malacca!! Hehe. Happy teacher’s day!
Happy Teacher’s Day to you too. Hope you’re recovering…and I do hope to go to Malacca again someday.

Err. *covers eyes*
Lesson One, Chriso. Never cover your eyes! You’ll never know what I’ll do to you! Wink! Wink! Hahahahahaha!!!
SEE! SEE! Cibol I told you! Daniel, what did I say!
What? What?…I was just giving you good advice mah! Hahahahaha!!! *blinking eyes innocently
ha ha ha .. i tot you would reply “who wan to go melaka this time? meningitis!” :p
Diplomatic mah! The implication should be clear enough…No need to be so direct! Hahahahahaha!!!
I’m sure I had a blast, what with Juanita winning the MDG and meeting you all 😀
Nice meeting you too, JL…and btw, were you the one with Huai Bin in the photo taken with Juanita? You can go to his blog http://www.sixthseal.com to check it out. It’s very small…so I can’t really tell whether that was you or not.
Sixthseal didn’t take my pics unfortunately. You can catch a glimpse of me in Episode 23-7 in http://www.malaysiandreamgirl.tv though.
Oh? So it wasn’t you in that pic with Juanita! I thought the guy with him looked like you! Ummm…why would I want a glimpse of you? Hehehehehe!!!
Because you had more than just glimpses, right? You saw me for whole hours, so how could a few seconds in video be satisfying? Keke 😆
Excuse me, I just puked… That’s the whole story! I’ve seen already and that’s more than enough, thank you. Hahahaha!!!
