Girls, girls, girls…

The other day, Sophia (Kuching) emailed to me the photographs of the contestants in the Miss Malaysia contest. Well, here are a few of them…

From Selangor

Contestant no. 20 in the above photograph is from Selangor, and this next one, Contestant no. 2, is from Kuala Lumpur…

From KL

Not your cup of tea? Perhaps you prefer Contestant no. 6 who happens to be from Sarawak?

From Sarawak

…Or how about this one, Contestant no. 8, from Penang?

From Penang

…And talking about Penang, I received this via email as well from Cititel Penang regarding their current promotional rate…

Cititel Penang promo

You can check out this previous post of mine to see the photographs of the hotel or you can just go to its website. RM99 nett is really cheap, I must say…but I’m not sure when I will be able to make the trip this year. Anyway, I just thought I would post it here in case any of you may be going there anytime soon.

P.S.:
Don’t let the above photo of the contestant from the island state deter you from making the trip. Hahahahaha!!!

    1. in that case, i’ll pick the black and white one @ RM99. twin, please… double my pleasure!
whatever you judges may say, some of them are gonna end up as ministers’ mistresses, or some tan silly’s; right, ah chan & tua pui??!!! i think one of your regular readers is privy to that. oops! i’ve said too much already!

That’s a real steal!! I think if you book through Wah Tung, it’s over RM200. Normally, I stay there at RM150 a night…based on the 1st time I stayed there, government rate. They still have my record in their computer system. And who’s Ah Chan? Any of my readers a minister’s or tan sri’s mistress? Gee!!! I don’t mind the crumbs that fall from the table…

      1. cantonese, they call him ah chan…
used to be #2 then demoted to god knows what no. now.

you know, the place you’d the big hoo-ha when you were here last… nudge, nudge… wink, wink!

Dunno… Oh? U mean that fella has a mistress? Ah well! These days, money speaks volumes!!! …..Well, I don’t know about that and I wouldn’t want to know either…unless I stand to benefit from it in some way!!!

  1. Penang one beh sui leh. Kok si Sarawakian ka sui 😛 The first two almost make me puke my dinner last night! Hahahaha!!!

I think that’s a biased judgement. With the teeth like that, wanna be Miss Malaysia? LOL!!!

    1. You only show four. So based on the four that’s the most beh bai wan lor…If want to hiam ler, all kanasai lor… 😛

More than enough to give a fair idea of the whole picture! The email had comments (made be men)…and my goodness, they can be really mean! Hahahahahaha!!!!

  2. I know it’s a cliche but one has to be reminded that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. Don’t you agree, Beautiful Big Fat? 🙂

Sure, I agree! After all, beauty is only skin deep…but I wouldn’t go and join some Male International contest or something of that nature!!! Would you? Hahahahahaha!!!!

  3. Thanks for spoiling my breakfast, STP!

I bet I can look hotter than them if I pretend to be a girl. LOL!!

Hahahahahaha!!! That I have yet to see! Why don’t you dress up in your wife’s clothes and parade over to my house…and then I’ll give my honest opinion? ROTFLMAO!!

  4. oh my goodness. no wonder i felt a funny feeling looking at those photos. something was not right haha! but the sarawak girls looks pretty decent, ah no, quite pretty, enough to fool me 😀

What do you mean? I’m sure they are REAL girls. Nothing mentioned about them being otherwise in the email… Hahahahahaha!!!!

  5. They all look like ah lian wor….with lotsa make up…mesti ada photoshop punya. Not natural leh…

Must be the make up! If photoshop, I’m sure they can make them look better than this! LOL!!!

  6. aiyo…most un-interesting post so far….!

Hahahahaha!!! This is what happens when I don’t go out so often… But the Cititel advert may come in handy to some people…

  7. I meant, “uninteresting”..

Well, Sophia emailed it to me…but then again, the remarks made by some of the men probably stole the show. Would put Simon Cowell to shame! Men! Hahahahaha!!!!

      1. oops, again!

Your link does not link lah…but I can guess it’s a photo someone very cute, very lovable, very nice and cuddly…… Hahahahahaha!!!!

      2. can you put it up on your post by omitting the cord in brackets?

What cord?… Never mind! They wouldn’t miss a thing even if they don’t get to see your pic. Hahahahaha!!!

  8. contestant no.2 one quite sweet
but then i likey no.8’s face shape, long and shape ❤

Eyew…..!!!! Hahahahahaha!!!! And I guess this is you again, annant!

    1. this one is me =.= …

Oh? So that wasn’t you? Your friend again?…Is that her pic? Hmmm…if she joins, she can easily beat those girls hands down! LOL!!!

  9. a friend emailed me the photos with the heading – I REALLY WONDER WHERE IN THE HELL THEY GOT GUTS TO JOIN MS MALAYSIA 2009…I think they are beautiful in their own way..not kanasai ok..haha.

Hahahahahaha!!! So you got the photos too! Well, you get all those who can’t sing a note auditioning for competitions like American Idol!

  10. I felt the pics looked kinds weird…3 girls’ faces either looked too elongated, or something’s just not right with the photographer 😆

I would want to have a look at Miss Johor but since you didn’t put up hers, I’ll settle for Miss Sarawak then! 😀

You sound as if you’re picking one to be your wife! Hahahahahaha!!!!

    1. I was LOL-ing at your replies to foongpc and my posts!!!! 😀

      MDG girls are better-looking. 😛

I know you’re doing the promo…but I’m not into MDG or for that matter, any beauty contest! Just American Idol…and keeping an ear open as to what’s transpiring on “Britain’s got talent”.

  11. OMG! STP has become a Pimp Daddy now. *runs an hides*

No leh? Don’t see your pic up there with the rest leh? Hahahahahaha!!!! *runs and hides too*

  12. I think if I disguise as a girl, I will look prettier than all of them! Eh, these are real photos or photoshopped already? None qualify for Miss Malaysia lah! : )

Hah! Another one! Seeing is believing…so you’ll have to dress up and post in ur blog, and then I can judge whether tou look prettier or not! Hahahahaha!!!! Ya, actually…I wonder where these girls came from! Simply pick from nowhere – that’s why our representatives at international beauty pageants are always so miserable ones!!!

    1. walau… so many simon crow on your panel, and photoshop experts too! wonder what happens to the lady who comments the mostes… busy cooking the big headed prawns, i presume

Once out of the office, I’m sure people have got a lot of better things to do with their time!!!

      1. … or maybe not on company’s time!

It’s a long weekend… Why waste it? Then on Monday, it’s back to the grind…and the blogs, Facebook and what not to kill time!

    2. No, it should be believing is seeing. haha! I think last time I went Bangkok – the ladyboys there are prettier! Aiya, I simply pick one of my female friends also prettier lah! Ms Malaysia no hope! LOL!

Their Miss Transvestite-Thailand is prettier than their Miss Thailand. Hahahahahaha!!!! Oooo…been looking at ladyboys, have you? LOL!!!

  13. If judging by photos only i will choose no.2,but nowadays even beauty contest have lots of criteria, like the Miss Universe,u have to be an all rounder. My past favourites Miss Msia is Michelle Yeoh,Yasmin Yusuff, can’t remember the rest….But Michelle Yeoh have done Malaysia proud…Just like jennifer hawkins,Miss Aussie/Universe,is doing very well in her career over here as well,so I guess it is not only beauty alone.

I think these days, such contests are frowned upon by yunno those holier-than-thou groups of people…so I don’t think they have contests in the states to represent at national level. Thus, I dunno who does the picking and where they pick them from. No more glamour nowadays!

  14. the rate is sure cheap. Stayed there before. Nice hotel.

I’ve stayed there at least 3 times already – everytime I went to Penang and I wouldn;t mind staying there again. Nice hotel, good location…

  15. I have a distant relative who was a Miss Malaysia – vaguely remembered it was a huge deal in my broader family at that time. Then there is that one time my youngest sister was encouraged to get into the contest (and believe me, she has the whole package – brain, face and body) – I almost went bankrupt on the oversea phone-calls to talk her down but now we both agreed “ho chai” she did not take the path.

My family and I like to watch the opening scene of Miss Universe and cheer for Miss Malaysia, Miss Singapore, Miss Thailand, Miss China… Sadly, I have not seen our Miss Malaysia advanced to the next round thus far…

Are you related to that Miss Malaysia family – the father a well-known local reporter, if I’m not mistaken? So your father came from that musically-inclined family with a guitar band in the 60s? Gee! Small world!!! From this region, Thailand and the Philippines sometimes do pretty well at international level…

    1. Sounds like my family to me. 🙂 I moved to the US many years ago, coming back to Sibu every 3 to 4 years. Pathetically, my connection to Sibu (outside of my immediate family members) is through Facebook and (recently) local blogs such as yours. They gave me glimpses on what life could have been if I did not leave Sibu.

Why the new name?…Well, Sibu is so small, and everybody knows everybody…and somebody’s bound to know somebody! LOL!!! I used to dance while the band played the music…and the Miss M’sia’s father took photographs! Gee! Am I old or what? Hahahahahaha!!!!

      1. Oops – I did not realize I was still logged onto my other WordPress account when I replied. Actually, you had it wrong – Miss Malaysia’s father is not my maternal grandfather, it is his brother. Hope I corrected an urban legend. 

Ok…the extended family, or what I usually call “huan chu chin” (Sweet potato relative – the roots are very far reaching!). LOL!!!

  16. Who is the swak lass? Heard an ex std of ours is in some beauty contest. Foochow father n filipian mum.

No idea…that’s the only one from Sarawak. Later I forward the email to you…

      1. bun-bun tan! hasn’t reply my e-mail yet!

You sent me an email? How come I did not see it? Which address? Hotmail? That one kaput liao!!!

  17. all four look hideous to me.

Wah! Here comes the critic!!! Hideous! Lucky you didn’t use words like Simon Cowell – excruciatingly, horrendously, horribly…hideous! Hahahahahaha!!!

  18. if we are talking about the same Ms Malaysia-the well known reporter is the uncle not the dad.. Daddy in shipping line.

Ok…dunno know her background that well…

  19. Haiyo… so sia soi lar. How can Ms Malaysia look like that? If join Miss Hockchew Lao maybe ok lar. hahaha.

Hahahahaha!!! I don’t think they’re Foochow even…except perhaps the one from Sarawak. Btw, they say the prettiest Malaysian ladies are from Sitiawan – all the Foochow ladies with smooth, white skin… Maybe you should go and visit? LOL!!!

    1. now you’re sia soi-ing the hockchew. there are hockchew miss malaysia as well.

Not one but at least two or more, mind you! And not just from Sarawak – those from Sitiawan used to win frequently!!!

  20. Ooops… kahkakhh.

And the irony is kongkay isn’t even Foochow! And you’re at least 75% with nothing in common except the kiamsiap part!!! Oh ya…and the size too! Hahahahahaha!!!

    1. case in point.. Gloria Ting.. hehehehe

The one from St E is Foochow too, isn’t she? See! Two Miss Malaysias from Sarawak and both Foochows! Eat your words, KNB!!! Hahahahahaha!!!!

  21. Ok ok… let me clear the air before foochow ladies start chasing me with cleavers. Hahah. The good looking foochow ladies will be joining Miss Malaysia… and might even win! The sub-standard ones can only join Miss Hockchew Lao. Hahahah.

I wonder whether the defence counsel will accept that or not. Hahahahaha!!!
