Yesterday evening…
I went to the wedding reception of my neighbour’s second son at the Empress Ballroom, Kingwood Hotel here.
The “hot dish” of miscellaneous items was followed by the ultra-nutritious black chicken soup with fish maw and dried scallops…
…in place of the sharks’ fins soup…
…and then there was roast duck stuffed with glutinous rice…
…and steamed white pomfret (ikan bawal putih)…
…plus braised sea cucumber with broccoli..
…and scallops – stir fired and deep fried…
…with fruits and dessert…
The food was good and the company was great. Congratulations to the newly-weds, Ting Chuan and Siew Ling…
May the two of you be blessed with a lifetime of bliss, blues skies and everything nice!
UPDATE:
It seems that they had a lunch reception as well on the same day at the Sheraton Restaurant here. Gee! Two receptions!!!…Huai Bin went to that one, so you can click this link to see his post on it.
